Since we are very quickly approaching the holidays and for some this can
be a very difficult, painful, and emotional time, I thought it would be
nice to do a little candle vigil with prayer, good wishes, good vibes,
or what ever else it is that people might believe in.

So, here is my plan in case any others of you out there might want to
participate as well.    Tomorrow night at say 8:00 p.m. (EST time) to
say 12:00 a.m (midnight) (EST time), I will light a candle or two and
say some prayers for the health and well being of ALL in this group, for
those in our group and/or their families who are facing surgery or other
health challenges, for those who have have passed on from this group and
their families, for those in our group who have lost loved ones this
year, and for anyone hurting, depressed, or just in need of some extra
support and prayer!!!   Those candles will continue to burn and the
prayers will continue until midnight.

May this small gesture offer some bit of comfort and peace and may it
also serve to let you each know that you are cared about and thought of
more than you can ever know!!!

Hugs to all!

as for me and your loving vigil, donnag, candles will be lit tomorrow night
especially for it, as will my prayer pipe within a sacred sage circle, for
solstice.  having been cleansing today in preparation, i will be drumming
positive energies and whispering prayer songs through my cedar flute, the
greater part of the day tomorrow.  (i welcome solstice, just as some of my
tribal ancestors did.)  it will be a good night to join you and others in
your candle vigil.  and so shall it be.

I confess I didn't manage to touch match to candle.  I was feeling ousy
enough from the stomach bug I caught that I feared I wouldn't stay awake to
watch it and Mike was out at a meeting.  I lit candles in my heart though,
and I think that works well too.

Well, I read this thread 25 hours too late, but had just lit a candle,
so will have my own light vigil going.  I'm thinking of changing my name
to Too Little Too Late.  ;)

Thinking of you all, and praying for peace and many blessings.

luv&stuff,
Denise
