Ok, Posted below is the email I received from Bedford Labs about the
shortage of injectable MTX.
***********************
HI Janet-

The Methotrexate Injection market was previously supplied by three
manufacturers:  APP, Mayne and Bedford.  APP and Mayne cannot produce
because of a warning letter received by their manufacturer.  This
warning letter has yet to be resolved, leaving only Bedford Labs to
supply the entire market.  We are manufacturing as much as we can, but
are currently on backorder with every dosage size we market.
Unfortunately, Bedford Labs' Methotrexate Injection is unpreserved.
Please see the attached memo.

Our current release is such:

Product Description                                            Release
Dates

Methotrexate 50 mg/vial (25 mg/mL, 2 mL)           12/27, 2/2/05,
2/16/05

Methotrexate 100 mg (25 mg/mL, 4 mL)               1/3/05

Methotrexate 200 mg (25 mg/mL, 8 mL)               1/29/05

Methotrexate 250 mg (25 mg/mL, 10 mL)             1/29/05, 3/5/05

I hope this helps explain market conditions.  Have a blessed Holiday
season-

Subject: Methotrexate question

Do you foresee the injectable MTX shortage ending soon?  I use
injectable MTX and have been told it is now on backorder.  I do prefer
injectable to oral due to stomach effects, but may have to temporarily
switch.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

That sentence does not make a bit of sense.

If APP and Mayne were manufacturers, what manufacturer
sent them a "warning letter?"

They were probably out-sourced overseas...like our flu vaccine.  Just
taking a guess...
