Got a report on my shoulder MRI today, and unfortunately the repaired
rotator cuff is now torn again.  I will be having this one repaired on New
Year's Eve.  Guess I'll probably sleep through my birthday!

Hi Gwen,   I am sorry to read this.   They will do it right this time.  You
know how we are.  Please keep us up on how it goes.  Someone might have to
go through the same thing.

blast it all. That wasn't supposed to happen!  You'll be in my prayers for a
repair that takes this time and please remind us again on the 30th that your
surgery is the next day.

The new tear is really my fault for carrying (twice) a 12 can carton of
drinks in from the car in my left hand.  You know me--I'm the one who
dislocated my replaced hip twice by doing something I wasn't supposed to do.
It's a wonder Dr. Hartzog is willing to operate on me again.  But he's a
real sweetie.

Next time, be sure they are "lite" cans.
Gwen Love - 21 Dec 2004 03:32 GMT

Oh, definitely.

When I was saddled with a ten-pound lifting/carrying
restriction, it made all the difference in the world.  <g>

If it makes you feel any better, I'm having my neck fused on the 30th, so
you won't be alone!  Here's hoping this one stays fixed.

Can they get a room together? Of course it would help if they were in the same
hospital. I could be their nurse.

Gwen Love - 21 Dec 2004 19:30 GMT
Joan, I don't suppose I'll have a room.  My last one was outpatient.  I was
told this one will require an incision and the last one didn't.  Don't know
if that will make any difference.
