Dear Friends,
I haven't been emailing much till now....began in March to come down
from Prednisone and it was a long painful summer! Was at 33mg and am
now down to 10mg.

My old RD kept me high on the pred for a long time...finally went to a
new dr and he told me how bad that was for me. We dec together we would
wean me off...well we did it and now am on Humira and also took a med
tht raised my white blood count...I feel so much better and want to
thank all of those who pray for all of us here at ASA.

I hope to have a good winter and a Blessed Christmas with my family!

I have the best husband/caregiver...he has been so supportive, kind,
loving and self sacrificing thru all of this....God bless all of our
caregivers!

this was lovely to read, polly. i'm so gladdened to read how things have
improved for you. give that big lug of yours an extra smooch or two. he

Hi Polly! You deserve a huge pat on the back for getting that pred down!
Such a big drop must have brought some really difficult days with it. It's
great that you werw able to get in with a better RD (I just did that myself,
doesn't it feel good?) Have a lovely Christmas and an ever healthier 2005!
