My son got accepted to Florida State University yesterday! I have very
mixed feelings about it cause I really want him to stay home and go to the
University of Central Florida where he has also applied. But proud none the
less that he was accepted. Three of his friends were declined this week and
he's been checking the mail box for weeks now. Actually, the letter
came....get this...in email! How times have changed. He hasn't decided
where he wants to go for sure yet but I'm still a proud Mama !

Diane:
I think a mom always has the right to brag, even if the child has not
done anything *noteworthy*.
I think it is so wonderful that your son was accepted.

No matter what choice he makes, he will know that he could. That he was
good enough. That means a lot at that age.

Of course you can brag, but about FSU?!??!?!??!?! LOL you know I'm just
looking at it as a Gator. You should be proud and we'd be upset if you
didn't brag to us!
(BTW, Emily got her Masters there and my brother and SIL live in Tally, so it
can't be all bad!)

Diane, I read the subject: Can a Mom Brag? - and immediate mental
response was: Can Anyone Stop Her? LOL
Congratulations to you and your son. Definitely calls for a brag.

And you should be! Competition for college admission is tougher today than
ever and that's quite an accomplishment!
