Here is the recipe. They are really sweet so not good for people that have
blood sugar problems. I cheat every once in awhile though, only at the
holidays.

Hello Dollies

1 Stick butter (melt in a 9 x 13 pan)
1/2 cup graham crackers
1 6 oz pkg. chocolate chips
1 6 oz pkg. butterscotch chips
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 can sweet condensed milk

Layer in order, pour milk over all and bake at 325 for 35 minutes.
Cool 20 to 30 minutes
Cut in small sizes and enjoy.

I don't like coconut, but in these you don't get as much of the coconut
taste.

Your welcome Vickie B.

Sorry about the diets folks. Wish you could try a taste and then be good on
diet again. ;-)

Tracy, glad it is the recipe you wanted. Glad I could help. Good luck with
making them and enjoy.

Glad you love coconut Janet.

Firechief, I love tapioca. Didn't know they had some with choc in it whoever
wrote that answer. Firechief, I am sorry to hear that your blood sugars are
out of range. Have you been eating too much choc. if so you can sent it to
me. LOL ;-) Have you been on pred. Great on the losing 25 pounds, that is if
you were trying to lose that much. You looked thin enough when I saw you.
;-)
Keep that up and you will shrink away to nothing. ;-)

Oh, that sounds good, but we're both on diets now!  I think I'd better just
delete this recipe.  We'd eat them far too fast.

This is the same recipe as something my mom has always made called
"Magic Bars", and they really *are* good. They have always been my
favourite holiday treat, but a few years ago my mom lost the recipe
somehow and we haven't had them since. I am sooooo excited to get the
recipe again and plan to make them a.s.a.p.! Thank you, Jo!!!

Darn,  I picked the wrong time of the year to start South Beach diet!  I
have a real sweet tooth, and these cookies sound good.  I'm counting the
days until I can have a cookie again.  lol

Bonnie, you could switch to the North Woods diet that just came
out of Minnesota (maybe Michigan).

My GP/PCP phoned yesterday.

I was told for the first time ever that my blood sugar and
cholestrol levels were out-of-range.  She has requested
more lab test immediately after the first of the new year.

Dang, lose 25 pounds and something else pops up. <g>

Let's see....

Doesn't like coconut

Mary's from the island, too.  Kid her that she's a foreigner
because she was born in T.H.  (and you gotta be 55 or
older to know what that stands for).   <g>

Okay, who said she didn't like coconut?  I though I was
replying to your statement.  ????

We have this cookie recipe, but it is called seven layer bars on our
recipe.   I have seen this same recipe under numerous different names,
but it is still the same very  yummy but very rich cookie bar recipe!!!
One of my brothers loves to make these and he always brings them for any
family gathering we have.   They are sooooo good, but they are rather
rich!   They also freeze very nicely!

Oh OH, now we are in trouble. You shouldn't have told me you can freeze
them. Now I will have Jim making masses of them to freeze, He will kill me.

Jo,

May I share this recipe with one of my other groups?  It sounds
absolutely yummy.

Sure go ahead. I got it from my sister in law years ago and I am sure she
wouldn't mind.
