and I can use some prayers and good vibes.  I've heard good things about this
doc, so I'm not too concerned there.  The problem is he's a 100 mile drive
away.  It's sunny today and tomorow is supposed to be fine in the morning,
but they are predicting snow showers in the afternoon and they'll hit over in
the west first, where I'll be.  Send out some good weather interference,
please!  I don't need to be driving home on bad roads or low visibility.

I should be able to see this doc closer to home in the future, he comes over
to this area twice/month, but he likes to do the initial appointment at the
main office.

Sending best wishes for a safe and pleasant journey.  I live in New England
where the weather forecasters are right about 50% of the time.  Wishing that
the forecasters in your area are wrong, and you will have dry roads and
pleasant weather.

<sticking out tongue>  yeah, I could look forward to more exciting times like
when that hurricane dropped that old hickory tree on my mom's house shortly
before 10pm, about 30 feet from where I was sitting.............

Things are just so much more memorable down here, Nann!! LOL

   Besides...shoveling snow beats dodging a hickory tree? C'mon. :-)

Our cedar tree is making a comeback and I've got enuff oranges from our
one tree to serve every person at ASA a glass of OJ. The tree loved the
drenchings last summer.

Hey, that's Mike's job! aching fingers and wrists and a ribcage with costo do
NOT shovel snow! When he hooked up with this diocese, he knew shoveling would
be *his* job.  Good thing too, his pants are all "shrinking" lately, the
shoveling and raking off the roof are good exercise for him!

Yeah, but you don't have the option of snowshoeing or cross-country skiing
out to see the elk in winter.........  If you want icicles for Christmas you
have to hang lights that fake them.......  And we have Indian River tangelos
that my mamma sent us........  do miss those honey tangerines when they come
in, but overall I appreciate spring MUCH MORE up here!  LOL

don't rub it in too much - it's the second year in a row that we won't see
family for Christmas.  Next year, though, will be different.  We're already
laying the groundwork so we can fly down on Christmas day for several days.

Vibes a comin.  I drive 100 mi to my RD.  We share the same Alma Mater,
she's a sweetie but some days I could just knock to see if anyone's home.
Thought about changing but in the big picture she's the real deal.

85?  well, that makes it easier, donnit.  hope it is clear sailing for you,
sweetie.
Kate
(thinking . . . my lake place is "only" 75 miles away and i still can't make
the drive.  i max out at one hour.)

w0w.  you're a better patient than i am!  i couldn't drive 100 miles to see
a doctor.  hmmm . . . in all honestly, i wouldn't drive 100 miles to see a
doctor.  they're not worth it to me.(sez a lot about how i feel about them,
eh.LOL)  he'd have to be better than a good doc and be pretty, too, to get
me in a car for 2 hours.<fer sure>  glad he'll be in your area twice a
month.  it'd be great if this doc decided he liked your area better than he
does where his main office is and moved it.  'course, i'm just doing my
wishful thinking for you.<g>

prayers, good vibes and dry warmth thoughts being sent your way!

LOL It's all a matter of perspective!  This fella is the *closest* RD to us!
Even over in Petoskey!  (there was one in Traverse City, only slightly
further away, with a particular interest in PsA, but she and her 2 daughters
died in a tragic auto accident back in October.  sad, sad story.)

I'll be much happier if I can see him in Rogers City in the future though!
only 40 miles away and there's this *really* good sausage store up there.....
Alternatively, I'll have to get appointments when Mike can drive me over in
the future ;)  hehe.  Oh, and such trips are much easier on me in the minivan
than in our Corolla.  I didn't realize how much that vehicle would help me.
