Has anyone had a problem with oxycontin not doing the job anymore.I have been
on it for about a year and now it does absolutely nothing for my pain.  I hope
I can wean off it if I have to.  Went on mobic when I got off vioxx and that
does nothing either. Hope you are all well for The holidays.  God Bless   Audie

Audie, it probably is as simple a fix as raising the dosage. When
oxycontin  is used for long-term pain management it takes 12 to 18
months to properly titrate the dose. In this dosing period you continue
to increase until a dosage that feels stable has been found. A process
that you need a really good pain doc for. Once that dose has been found
it usually never changes again. This of course varies amongst
individuals. Mine has not changed in 3 years.
