>> HOW OBSERVANT ARE YOU?
I got 19, but I have arguments with this!
>>> 9. What is the lowest number on the FM dial?
(answer given) >>> 9. 88

au contraire - our radios go down to 87.5
>>> 10. Which way does water go down the drain, counter
>>> or clockwise?

it'd be nice if they'd specify which hemisphere in the question so I wouldn't
have to write out a double answer.... (I notice they DO specify in the
answer, but not in the question!)

>>> 14. Which way do fans rotate?
ceiling fans and many window fans are reversible so one can change the
direction of the airflow.
>>> 15. What is on the back of a Canadian dime?
I almost never see Canadian dimes. Lots of quarters and pennies, but very few
dimes.

>>> 18. How many lug nuts are on a standard car wheel?
I've had PA for 18 years 0 I DO NOT change tires!
>>> 19. How many sides are there on a standard pencil?
the one in front of me on the desk is round.
>>> 23. On which side of a Venetian blind is the cord
>>> that adjusts the
>>> opening between the slats?
this is a very unclear question - on our blinds the STICK that adjusts the
angle of the slats is on the left, the CORD that adjusts the distance between
slats, i.e. pulls them up, is on the right.

>>> 24. On the back of a Canadian $1 coin, what is in
>>> the center?
the looney and the twoney - learned all about that summer of 2003!

> HOW OBSERVANT ARE YOU?

> 1. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the
> top or bottom?

 Bottom

> 2. How many states are there? (Don't laugh, some
> people don't know)

 46 states and 4 commonwealths

> 3. In which hand is the Statue of Liberty's torch?

Right

> 4. What six colors are on the classic Campbell's
> soup label?

Red, white, green, gold, black, yellow, brown, green.
(parsley spring and slice of chicken/turkey)

> 5. What two numbers on the telephone dial don't have
> letters by them?

On older phones, only  the digit one had no letter.

The digit zero had the letter "Z' for Zenith, which was
at one time the prefix for states' Highway Patrol
 emergency phone number.

Today's phones have no letter with the one and zero.

> 6. When you walk does your left arm swing with your
> right or left leg?

Swing in what direction?  You gotta make your
questions/intent clearer.  Arms swing both direction,
else they wouldn't be swinging, now would they?

> 7. How many matches are in a standard pack?

20 - one for each cigarette in a pack.

> 8. On the United States flag is the top stripe red or white?

7 red and 6 white, with red at the top and bottom.

> 9. What is the lowest number on the FM dial?

Originally, 30 to 50Mc.   That FM band  was move to
88 to 108Mc and the lower frequencies became used
 by fire/police.

> 10. Which way does water go down the drain, counter
> or clockwise?

Depends if you're north or south of the equator.  Again
the question writer isn't too clear.

> 11. Which way does a "no smoking" sign's slash run?

 Upper left to lower right.

> 12. How many channels on a VHF TV dial?

Originally 13, but channel 1 became the 6 meter
amateur radio band when the 11 meter band was
switched from amateur service to citizen band.

Now, which TV channels are not adjacent to
 another channel?

> 13. On which side of a women's blouse are the buttons?

Opposite side than on men's shirts.

> 14. Which way do fans rotate?

Most modern ceiling fans have a switch to
reverse directions.   OH?   Did you mean a
floor fan?   You didn't make yourself clear.

> 15. What is on the back of a Canadian dime?

 A loon or looney?

> 16. How many sides does a stop sign have?

 Eight

> 17. Do books have even-numbered pages on the right
> or left side?

 Left

> 18. How many lug nuts are on a standard car wheel?

 Nowadays there are five.

> 19. How many sides are there on a standard pencil?

Who determines what "standard" means.   Many, many
 pencils are round.

> 20. Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Grumpy,Dopey, Doc. Who's
> missing?

 I'm not bashful at all.

> 21. How many hot dog buns are in a standard package?

 Eight

> 22. On which playing card is the card maker's trademark?

 Ace of spades

> 23. On which side of a Venetian blind is the cord
> that adjusts the opening between the slats?

Both cords on our veritcal blinds are on the left side

> 24. On the back of a Canadian $1 coin, what is in
> the center?

Is this where the loon is?

> 25. There are 12 buttons on a touch tone phone. What
> 2 symbols bear no digits?

  *  and  #

> 26. How many curves are there in the standard paper clip?

 Three

> 27. Does a merry-go-round turn counter or clockwise?

 Counter clockwise
