Those who have been here for awhile understand the ropes, but for
Newbies it can be a daunting experience. Holding the middle ground is
ripe with problems, mostly because it means having to stick totally to
support which few are able to do. People make mistakes and put their
foot in their mouth too often and the flamewars begin.

There is a bottom line in all this, either you respect others enough
to keep it here in this medium, or because of misguided friendships,
politics, evil intent or insanity you rationalize the off line
vendettas as either unimportant or well deserved. Until of course, you
get on the receiving end of it. Oh then its a very different story.

There most certainly should be no middle road in this, your real life
and your family, your doctor and your employment should not be put in
jeopardy for what you may say here. Good people must stand up and take
a side against that vile crap. Something Katharine has never done.

Most importantly, your fears should not be concerned with being called
a name, for that is typical of all newsgroups. Rather your concern
should be about these squealing little pigs taking their petty revenge
by invading your privacy and moving their hatred beyond this medium
to your front door, to your family, your doctor, your clinic, your
insurance provider, your employer and your local police. It is what
netscabs, scumbags and modemsluts do. And no place on Usenet has more
of those than right here in ASCP.

Though it cannot be answered in the absolute who the socks are, by
checking extended headers and noting dialect, theme, style and unique
enemies lists, the best guess is:
Rosie Shiver - Snooper and Secret Squirrel (surety) and probably half
a dozen others.
Nick Burns - Loose Cannon (surety) and probably half a dozen others.
Mouse - Conscience of ASCP (probably)

Here now over the holidays in 2004 they have come in as a flood to
once again try and take control and drive out who is on their list or
destroy the place. Again, messages are up from 100 a day to 500 a day
caused by these virulent socks.

These vindictive squealers, informers and liars are the scum of the
Earth and should be treated as such by anyone possessing even the
smallest lick morals, values and common decency.
