Hey gang, just a quick note to say happy thanksgiving and hope everyone
had as nice a day as me. I got my holiday cortisone injection yesterday
and damn near have the energy of a 'normal'.>g<

Lucy and I went wandering in the high desert today and may have found
the little piece of land we have been looking for. Found an absolutely
magical 10 acres in the catalina foothills. After we decide which bank
to rob will be making serious attempts to purchase.

It was so beautiful today in the desert. Best day I have had in months
and really wanted to share the feeling with all of you and thank you for
being here for me. Whether you realize it or not you all have made it
easier for me to get thru a 'nasty patch' of living this past year.

I am truly grateful to all of you.
Now you will all have to excuse me...thanks to a"MaryZ" post there is an
intense piece of chocolate pecan pie screaming at me from the kitchen. >bg<

over a week and the positive side of the process is kicking in. This
time is the one that is going to take.

johnie, it is wonderful to hear that you had such a great day!  And
congratulations and best wishes on the land.  I'm one of those outdoors
people too, so I know just what you mean by a magical piece of land.  you
make me want to go traipsing outside today, but I have to much else to do.
Maybe we can tomorrow, if Mike has his cold beaten down more.

now my list of thanksgivings includes you having a beautiful day.

it is waaaay sweet to hear the sense of soothing balance and the quiet
contentment you achieved for yourself today, johnie.  ironically, and with
that dynamic synchronicity with which the universal mind-energy connection
seems to gift us all, you've demonstrated for me exactly what i've been
intending that my new year's resolution will be about for myself in
2006<smile>.  i'm warmly happy for you, that you had such a lovely day.

melinda...i will keep you posted as i get info on these parcels. They
are nestled in the north side of the catalinas'at around 4500 ft.. lots
of large mesquite, big fat barrel spiral cactus and large rock crops in
all the right places.

chief...'high desert' in the Sonoran (wettest desert in the world)and
home to the remarkable Saguaro is anything above 3000ft. Its a very
loose interpretation as anything above sea level is considered 'high
desert' by some.>g<

kate...it has been a waaay sweet thanksgiving and my resolution is to
prolong it thru 2006.>g< i will try to 'keep lovely' all the days of 2005.

di...i was thinking about you when i forced myself to eat that last
piece of pecan choc. pie. i am glad you had a good one. its nice to have
a good one. we all deserve a good one.>g<

kelly...thanks, it is nice to be missed. i missed you. i know that too
many of us ride that 'cycle of isolation' when our disease gets
hyper-active and this group becomes a critical safety net. i am going to
make a real effort to participate more often. hope your thanksgiving was
grand.

jo... i have been thinking about you also as you have far too many
things going on at once with your health. you can have as much pie as
you want. it just might fix the cough.>g< i hope this week has been a
better one. i am awed by the strength you continue to find. we are all
going to have to make 2005 a year of real healing.

If i missed anyone i apologize. my newsreader regularly drops about 2 of
every 10 posts. those two usually show up at google after a few days.

Glad you had a pleasant Thanksgiving.

Does "high desert" mean in California?  Barstow?

I love the surrounding there.  Calico Ghost Town.
Zzyzx Road.  Baker.   And Boron to the west.

Perhaps the Las Vegas area?

Hi Johnie!  Sounds like your thanksgiving was really nice.  Sometimes
life is soooooo good.  :-)  Mine was nice, too.  I ate tons and tons of
turkey, and stuffing and pecan pie and whipped cream and ....... all in
good company, with family and friends.  I love thankgiving.

johnie,

I will make it thru all the stuff johnie, I always do somehow. ;-)

Thanks for the pie, I bet it will help with the cough '-)

Yes we all will have to make 2005 a healing year for all of us. ;-)

This week is somewhat better but the weather is still killing me. I really
don't have any right to complain though, most of you have worse colder
weather than we do. But I am freezing in the 30's here. My blood is too thin
from living out here and can't tolerate the cold like it used to back in PA.
