That is wonderful news. Thank you for letting us know. I hope Donna feels
much better very soon.

Yep, here I am!
Thanks so much everyone for all of your prayers, ecards, well wishes,
and even phone calls!!! I was so touched!
Like Duckie said, they booted me out of the hospital. I was getting so
cranky, that I don't think they wanted me there anymore, and I certainly
didn't want to be there anymore!!! Sheesh, my last night, they were
literally in my room every 20 minutes from 3:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m.
when I finally got grumpy and told them to leave me alone! They would
come in every 2 minutes to check my bp, bring fresh water, draw blood,
check my heart monitor leads, ask me how many times I had been up to use
the bathroom, and other exciting things like that. I was soooooo tired
and just wanted an hour or two of uninterrupted sleep!
Grrrrrrrrr.......
how the heck is someone supposed to heal and get better when they don't
ever let you alone at all? Seems almost like a torture camp by the
time they are done!
Anyways, I am still tired, tired, tired!!! Although sleeping in my own
bed last night totally uninterrupted was a huge help.
Turns out I just had some viral bug and that along with the 100%
humidity we have been having as of late, was just enough to throw my
asthma and other lung stuff over the edge. Thankfully there was no
pneumonia! After 5 breathing treatments and two large doses of
steroids on saturday in the ER, they decided to keep me for a few days.
I am feeling better and that constant non-stop cough is almost
gone---yipeeeeeeeee!!!!
You know, it's really kind of funny. As much as I hate the hospital
and being there, it never seems to amaze me how blessed I am! I had an
excellent attending doctor who told me he isn't used to taking care of
people who know so much about their diseases and their meds. He said
it was so refreshing and he wished all his patients could be like that!
I also had a man in the room next to me who had fallen and broken his
hip. He was pretty sedated most of the time after his hip surgery, so
his wife would come over and talk to me quite a bit. She was such a
nice lady---reminded me of my own parents, and we had some of the nicest
chats and found out we had several things in common. That lady was so
sweet and probably my saving grace from getting totally bored!!! So
many unexpected blessings!!!
Anyways, I am still quite tired but will try to post as I am able!!!
Thanks again to all of you lovely people for the prayers and well
wishes---you also are amazing blessings to me!!!
Hugs!
