Saw my new PCP today and I'm happy to say he looks like a keeper!  real nice,
on the ball and cute too, shame we're both married <weg>  Sorry Tina, he has
hair.  ;)  His nurse is really nice, too.  They even ask if you mind getting
on the scale instead of just saying "step on".

He ran through stuff with me then told me I sounded like an intelligent
person who knew what I needed to do.  Yes!  They have flu shots available and
he agreed that with mtx and Arava on board, I should get one so I did.  He
gave me scripts for all the meds I'm running out of (and we have Rx insurance
now!).  They set me up with a referral and appointment with the closest RD
for December and drew my blood right there in the office.

It took some time, but I sure felt squared away when I left.  I hope the RD
is as good!

Nann, I know from experience how you dread looking for new doctors when you
move.  And it is a real blessing when you find a good one.  Looks as if you
have.  Wonderful.  Hope the RD will be just as good.

I got home rorm town today to find a phone message from his nurse.  She
wanted to let me know they were able to use some of the labs from my old
records for the RD referral so those tests won't be showing up on my bill.
Not only did they work that out, but she took the time to let me know. Dang!
Not about to argue with such service!

It was such a joy to fill 6 of my prescriptions at a real drugstore today and
only pay $135 for the lot (including pricey Arava).  Love that prescription
insurance.  I could get used to this.  Sure hope all works out so we stay
here a while.  Oh, and the drugstore is only about a block and a half from us
- real easy to get to.
