It seems to me I heard somewhere that RoseB wrote in article

Rose, in Agent 2.0 it's a two-step (you probably know that already).
Once you have your signature(s) entered at Options | General Preferences
| Signatures you need to enable your preferred one for email and
newsgroups. At Group | Default Properties there's a drop-down box to
select the signature you want for email and as a default in newsgroups.
To set a different one for individual newsgroups use Group | Properties
instead.
I suspect you had all this OK but something just got messed up and you
may need to step back through it. HTH
For users of other versions of Agent, the same steps work but the
Options menu is set up differently from 2.0.

Ain't that the truth!
My high school Latin teacher told us that being educated doesn't mean
knowing everything you need to, it means knowing how to find what you
need to know. Teachers rock! :-)

Thanks for your help, Don. You are correct- I did know that and had a
properly functioning sig until I took it off due to the card exchange.
I had forgotten about the other drop down box I needed to check.
And thanks for your comments regarding my sig. I thought I was being
especially profound when I thought of it but it seemed so true to me
at the time.
