Ok, I have been out of town for a week and I smell a bbq.  I have not
read all the posts nor do I  intend to.  Seems there are politics in
the air.  I am sick to death of this election!   I was in CA last week
and what a blessed relief not to be in a swing state.  I am bombarded
with election ads and articles and I do not want to read about it here
as well..... gag me!  I have been active in a campaign I am still sick
of it. If you must make political comments please mark it political so
I can delete it.  thanks!  Now I will go back to filling out my Oregon
ballot.  All these dang ballot measures. ......grumble grumble.  Now
they are calling me with robots urging me to vote yes on this no on
that.  What happened to real people anyway?

On top of that what the heck happened to sunny CA?  I was in a
conference in Southern Ca and the weather was worse than it was in
Oregon.  For cripes sake!   I did have a great time setting off the
locals when I asked them "So is this typical October weather?"  LOLOL!
What a mess flooding everywhere.  They need a NWesterner to design
their storm systems.  182 days of no rain and they get 5 days of rain
while I am there, it figures...... sheesh....

As we used to say after a flame war...... bring out your dead and the
fire extinguisher.  -- mz

Sorry about the weather.  We were just trying to make you feel "to home"

Its weird being in California this election.  Nearly all the races are a
foregone conclusion and nobody is wasting any money bothering us.  Hard not
to come down with a bad case of "why vote"

Except of course for the various propositions and the truly local stuff.

There will be at least 15 local propositions (A - O) throughout
my county, although only 2 will appear on all ballots.  All the
others are from several of the 19 cities - sales tax hike for
a new PD HQ here, bond issue for a new library there.

We've got two really good ones, statewide, of a number of them: the
right to know the medical malpractice record of FL MD's and lifting the
ability of MD's with a string of malpractice convictions to practice in FL.
Here's hoping the malpractice insurance rates will fall to sane levels if
the covering up for the bad docs stops. We've historically had some of the
highest malpractice insurance costs in the nation.

There's a ton of docs and nurses all around the Courthouse Annex holding
signs saying to vote both no, tho'.

   I voted early, but I can't vote often. <g>

Hugs from Rosie
