My back has done it's once a decade thing and instead of going to the rheumatologist, I went to the PCP. He started me on Mobic. Also gave me Vicadon and heat and bedrest. Am going to a chiropractor tomorrow. The PCP took me in the same afternoon of the day I called him. I'm calling the rheumatologist tomorrow (he's in Trenton and I'm not, on Thursdays). Nell, I've taken Mobic for a couple of years now with no side effects. Unfortunately it hasn't done a thing for me. I started on it when they pulled vioxx from the shelves so I really noticed the difference since the vioxx worked so well for me. I couldn't get into see the rheumatologist until Nov. 2. I do admit I feel better moving around. Also he said not much sitting or laying. We got an air bed since I was having the same problems finding a comfortable sleeping position...what a difference..I never want to go back. hope you feel better soon ginger |
