Dear Friends,
Your outpouring of love, prayers, cards, emails, snail mails, hugs and
caring thoughts has been awesome and amazing. I've felt so loved and cared for
during these darkest of days. You've helped me more than you'll ever know.
Thank-you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all.
This is the time in our (me, Eileen, Tim) lives when things seem to have
come full circle. Guess it's time to be grown-ups now, huh? : ) This is so much
harder than I ever could have imagined. It's the oddest feeling knowing I no
longer have any parents here on Earth. Lonely and sad. But, I'll carry them in
my heart with me everyday. The funeral was Friday and now a whole new journey
begins. I will survive, though, it sure hasn't felt that way a few times these
past few days. Hopefully, the busy-ness with Mom's house and estate will keep
me a little bit numb, until it's time for me to begin my healing journey. I've
done it before and I can do it again. It really helps knowing that I have
friends who care. Thanks again.
  Love, Patty

Thanks you so much for your post,,,your thoughts,,,, for putting your finger
on what many people take away from this newsgroup.  It is what many of us
have lived with,,, lived through,,,, came here and found support in a way we
needed to be able to handle what life has dealt us.    Like you,,, I have
felt your numbness and laid to rest both parents, both in-laws.    Each one
with what was special to just to them.    I just want to assure you that the
pain does get less,,, the need to just sit and cry does go away because we
finally realize that we still carry them in our heart, in our memories.   It
does not lessen this persons worth to us.  It is a way the Lord has given us
to survive what takes place and what life deals us.
You do have friends here that love you just as much as you love us and
we will be here to take your hand when needed or just cheer you on as we
deal with life.

Patty, I lost my Mother very unexpectedly in August and her internment at
Arlington National Cemetery is next week, so I do understand what you are going
through, more than you know.  I too am busy dealing with estate stuff and
getting through this, but it's truly a strange feeling to know that now we are
the "old folks".

Be well and cherish your memories.

You take care Patty. Know that we are thinking of you.
If you need someone to talk to I am here. I might be awhile in getting back
but I do read as soon as I can.

If you need to talk, you can also call me. If you don't have my phone number
let me know and I will send it to you.

You are in my heart. I know this is a difficult time for you.

Thank you, Jo. Days are tough right now, but, I'm keeping incredibly busy and
that helps some. Your support helps a lot : )

Dear Patty,
I haven't been around a lot lately and didn't realize that you've been
being going through such a sad and difficult time.  Even though this
is late, just want you to know that you are in my thoughts and
prayers.
Hugs,
Carol

Your welcome Patty.

I know how hard it can be. I lost my mom when I was 17. Just lost my dad a
few years ago. So I do know.
I do think of you constantly.
