I was too worn out from watching the almost 6 hour Red Sox game.  They just
insist on giving we fans hope.........

I'm, thinking there's going to be a lot of useless people show up for work
and school in BOston tomorrow.  And a lot that don't show up at all.

How are these teams going to manage to get back on the field again tomorrow
in New York?  By the 14th inning the batters were stretching and rubbing
their eyes and yawning before they'd pick up a bat.

Weell, I'm an Astro fan.  And the game had a purr-fect ending last night.  My
thought still hurts.  Oh yeah!  I was at home!  My husband told me to quit
yelling!

Mike kept making comments about those passed balls.  I was kinder, having
some direct sympathy for Varitek who has spent hours in his crouch in recent
days and was catching knuckle balls in inning 13!  I can't imagine how tired
they must be by now.  Lucky for them they're basically young and healthy!

It's raining enough here--and there's more in the forecast--that they
might not be able to play tonight.

And some of us have a different opinion of what a break might look like ;-)

A rain out would be nice for them.
I have heard NY is having allot of rain and it would be nice for those guys
to have a break.
I am here in the heart of the country far away from NY. I have no idea how
or why I became a Yankees fan.
I guess I just like them. I love Baseball (its kind of cool cause I know
more about the game than my hubby) The Yankees have such a legacy and
history.
Now football.... it is college football all the way and as some of you guys
know I am a die hard Sooners fan.
Nann you know what I mean (Sorry we stole Stoops).
All in good fun! Take care,

I remember when he interviewed for the head coaching job at Minnesota.  I was
pleading with him (on TV) to not go.  MIke kept saying, "you know he'll go
someday, he's too good not to."  I said, "Yeah, but not to the Golden
Gophers!  At least let him go somewhere that has a REAL football team!"  Now
I wish we'd been able to keep him with a promise of a future
promotion........

Tonight seemed like a good break. Both teams had great pitching. Fielding
was more than respectable. The teams got hits (just not always with 2 out).
And even the umpires managed to get things right, even if it took several
conferences and protection by the riot squad. This has been the least boring
Championship Series in a long time. All sorts of records set. Wonder if
there will be yet one more? - record, that is.

And the right team won ;-)

Definitely all in good fun.

Argh!  the hated Mets!  (or so I'm told.  never was a baseball fan until Mike
brainwashed me LOL  In exchange, I got him back into football.)

but what "break" could the Yankees use?  they were up 3-0, after all!

LOLOL,  Please let me tell how I feel about the Yankees......  They do not
need a break.  They make their own breaks....  As fine a team every year as
money can buy.....  It does mean that I have to rooooot for other teams
every now and then. LOL

I bet thats how you feel about OU at times..... I mean half the team is from
Texas!!!!!!!!  I am born and raised here in OK and it is awful to see our
highschool talent not able to go to OU because they recruit in Texas!
Oklahoma has talented football players it is just a shame that they will not
look closer here at home. One of these days we will have a TRUE OU Texas
game!!!!
As far as how the Yankees played it was intense last night. Maybe we will
have a real good game tonight too!

When I was very young my dad was teaching me about nature and plants,
trees, etc.  He said, "do you notice how many trees in Texas lean
towards the north?  Scientist have long thought it was due to the
coastal breezes from the south and that over time this is what was
causing the trees to lean.  But we now know this isn't so....."

I said, 'Dad, why do the trees leans northward?"

He said "Because Oklahoma Sucks!"

VBEG!

Nope, I did.  It was the only graffiti in Anchorage and was written on a
huge embankment wall at a busy intersection.

Every time the oil company's rotated their personnel from Texas to
Alaska, sure as sh.t, the first snow would bring record numbers of car
accidents because the newbies had no idea that you have to drive
differently on the ice.

The tire stores would be backed up because, Holy sh.t, they had no idea
you needed studded snow tires to drive in Alaska in winter!  I don't
know what their school books showed, but whenever mine mentioned Alaska
you can bet your a.s it came with a picture of snow.  Ten bucks says
they packed swimsuits and tanning oil for the big move LOL!!!

lOLOL,,,  I have told them this before...  LSU the same way,,,, football is
played in a serious way in Texas.  There is a movie coming out about Odessa
Permian(sp).   It is a way of life I am sorry to say.   This not getting our
average young man ready for life after football.

where in OK?  My mom lived in Ponce City until she was 16 and her family
moved to Louisiana.  Though her parents and her sister all lived there the
rest of their lives, my mom still thinks of Ponca City as "home".  She takes
pride in being an Oklahoman, tough folk.  LOL  She's cute about it.

I have been a good little girl and sit lonely in my
guest room trying to hear the game down the hall. I am
not allowed to watch. Every time I walk into the room
the wrong teams scores, so I have been banned. Last
time I peaked it was 8 to 2... wish I knew what inning.
