We just got the results from this mornings MRI. Lauren does have an abnormality in her cerebellum tonsils (did ya even know the that the cerebellum had tonsils?) But it doesn't look like anything to be worried about! Wooohoooooo! For now they are calling her symptoms migraines. Sorry the kid has migraines but it coulda been a hell of a lot worse! Sure did, That is what causes a disease called Chiari malformation which is often misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia because they often share the same symptoms. http://makeashorterlink.com/?F24035A89 also do a search on "Chiari+malformation" > But it doesn't look like anything to be worried about! True, but, A Chiari malformation can be *HELL*. Just imagine the most painful headache you ever had (including a migraine) & than imagine that pain through your entire body so even your hair hurts. IMO/IME the only good thing about Lauren's diagnosis is that now they can correct it with surgery. Alex, They were looking for Chiari Malformation but they said it wasn't. They said the tonsils were slightly elongated but not down into the spinal canal and not enough to be causing symptoms. I will be watching her close for symptoms of it though. I've spent the past two days researching Chiari because I was afraid that was what they were looking for (one time I did not want to be right).
