Well, my friend Toni is doing better, and after two week long sessions
in the hospital is home.  Infections are conquered, but Hep C treatment
is stopped, so have to hope it was long enough.  Her spleen is still a
concern, as there is nothing to do for it except hope it will be able to
recover.

I came home Thursday afternoon, and have been in a sorting frenzy since,
as we will be moving at the end of this month.

This afternoon an old friend from NY called with some very sad news.  My
oldest friend died a few days ago, very unexpectedly.  I am taking great
comfort from the fact that I had been able to find her again a few years
ago, and got to see her briefly last year.  The memories are playing in
my mind, and there are so many of them.

luv&tears,
Denise

Thanks, DeeTee.  I talked to my friend's "kid" sister (how did she get
to be 50? It seems like just a little while since I saw her last, but it
was 30 years ago) on the phone, and she's going to email me some things
from the funeral, and wants to get together next time I'm back east.
I'll see some other old friends again then.  Funny how some bonds never
seem to break over time.

luv&stuff,
Denise

Thank you, Rosie dear.  Overdo?  Me?  LOL  I'm trying to behave.  Just
been way too much drama in my life lately.  You take good care of YOU,
okay?

My flying free days may be drawing to a close, as airline-employed son
has had a job offer elsewhere.  So I'm going to have to squirrel away
some coinage, as I have promises to keep... and miles to go before I
sleep...  <g>  May have to take a bus, cuz I'm not done with my travels.
The thought of a bus ride to Florida from here is enough to put me in
bed for the week, so on that horrendous note, I'll say good-night!

luv&hugs,
Denise
