Ifish2b - 22 Sep 2004 23:59 GMT OK, I called and was told that I have "right ventricle inflammation" and an "abnormal stress test". That was all they would tell me over the phone. I have an appointment with the cardio Friday to get the details. Meanwhile, anybody have a clue what the little info I have means?

ShenMei9 - 23 Sep 2004 00:55 GMT Sarah, There isn't enough info here to offer even a guess. There are many, many possibilities some very benign, some acute, some chronic. The most dangerous possibilities would have you seeing a cardiologist immediately so the fact that you are even waiting several days is not a bad sign. Prayers that this is just a little glitch-

Newsgroup Spambuster - 23 Sep 2004 00:56 GMT Well, all I can tell you is that even though you had a heart attack, you have NO heart disease! rofl......isn't that what we all agreed upon at gimp picnic? lol!
Seriously though, I'm not sure what that little bit of information means, but it doesn't sound real good. Praying that the cardiologist will have some answers for you on friday!!! Keep us posted!

Yea, that's it. Thank goodness you reminded me. I'll just me with the cardiologist and try my denial out on him. Think he'll buy into it any more than you guys did?

Newsgroup Spambuster - 23 Sep 2004 00:58 GMT I would imagine that the abnormal stress test is because of your previous heart attack? Did your doctors tell you what area you had your heart attack in and what area was damaged in your heart?

Ifish2b - 23 Sep 2004 04:06 GMT >Nope, cause we all know you DON'T have heart trouble! <eg> My new mantra. Until it gets squashed to pieces on Friday. Maybe the inflammation was there because my heart was swollen with joy at the prospect of seeing all of you gimps again, yea that's it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I did have to take a couple nitro today. Yuk!!! And the headache I got from the nitro was worse that the twitching/burning I was feeling.
Can we reconsider the 3 disease limit? I am going way over and once I get the sleep apnea officially dx, then I'm screwed. Maybe 9 would be a good limit or how about a dozen. Or someone could tell me where the return line really is instead of sending me on these wild goose chases.

d'huit - 23 Sep 2004 01:31 GMT hmmm . . . right ventricle inflammation sounds like there is something they can do with meds to take the inflammation down and i would think that would cause an abnormal stress test result. dunno though, sweetness. i know, not really helpful here. just gonna give you a ((((((((((((((((sarah)))))))))))))))) instead.

Ifish2b - 29 Sep 2004 01:36 GMT OK guys, my cath is schedule for Oct. 8th at 7:00 in the morning. Almost didn't need it, just about had a heart attack when she said I had to be at the hospital by 5:00. Geeze, don't these surgery types ever sleep? Well, my sister is supposed to be home tonight from her vacation and I get to tell her that she has to drive 25 minutes to pick me up and 20 minutes back to town. She's gonna kill me. She'll have to leave home around 4 a.m. I think I need to have her removed as my beneficiary.

(unattributed) Sarah, obviously you're talking about a cardiac cath. Sheesh, girl, what happened? I'm really sorry about the cardiac problems. Makes ME feel so lucky, after having all that stress testing, only to find out my heart is healthy and my cholesterol levels are really good. Anyway, I am sure it will all be OK. They are such routine procedures. My fingers are crossed......

Ifish2b - 30 Sep 2004 01:27 GMT >Sarah, obviously you're talking about a cardiac cath. Sheesh, girl, >what happened? I went to the ER with chest pain. They said it was RA. GP said "don't think so" and sent me to the cardio dude. Cardio dude said "you've already had a heart attack" and scheduled a stress test. I flunked. No one told me what to study. So, now I get a heart cath and I got to add 2 more meds to my list.
See what happens when you're MIA.

Does she know yet that you had a heart attack?
I think she may be more inclined to kill you for not telling her sooner, if you havent already told her.

She knows but tends to respond in 2 ways. One is that she's afraid I'll end up like my mother, who is not a real joy to be around and is very dependent on my sister. The second is denial. She has never really been sick and really doesn't get the whole chronic illness thing except for diabetes which her husband has.

I don't think she would last the night with her hubby, or that he would last without her. The latter is pretty true. Sunny52 - 23 Sep 2004 15:54 GMT Just wondering... Did you have a Stress Echo, or an Echo then a Stress Test? The RV walls exhibit less visible motion during rest, but wall motion should increase during exercise. Decreased RV motion (during/after) exercise may infer the presence of inflammation. Abnormal Stress Test could mean anything., they have not given you enough information.
Good luck.
