Does anyone know of a product that can be attached to a chair to give
added shoulder and neck support?

Everything seems to be lumbar support but what I find is that my neck
and shoulders are not getting any support and I end up feeling very
stiff (i have arthritis in my neck). I would love to be able to rest
back into a support of some kind but cannot find anything.

I am imagining something you could attach to your chair that would
cradle the neck and shoulders.

Not something attached to a chair, but an over-the-door
traction kit with means to vary the pull weight.  If one was
creative, they could use swag hooks (capable of holding
maybe 15 pounds) over the area the chair will be to
suspend the kit.

I obtained one from PT, paid by insurance, ca. 1995.

Call your local PT service at the hospital, who in turn will direct you to
the nearest Medical supply house or give you a phone number.

They will surely help you out that way.  OR call a physcial therapy clinic
nearby and ask them.  Insurance would cover it, IF you have a right
diagnosis and they doctor ORDERS that kind of traction.

May I ask what and why you are going to use this for?  I know the neck but
?  LOL

disks, pressure, headpain?

I am simply looking to feel more conmfortable. I always feel myself
straining because there is no way to rest my neck and shoulders when I
am sitting. Kind of like the way it feels in a dentist chair. It
simply cradles your neck in such a way that you are able to relax your
head.

thinking of a simpler solution - maybe.  Do you think one of those U-shaped
neck pillows might help you?  Lots of catalogs sell them in the inflatable
version for traveling.  I've also seen them as real pillows, but don't
remember where.  Ah-ha, just found a site with both versions listed.

they are the 2nd and 3rd from the bottom.

I have NO knowledge of this company, just using their page to show what I'm
talking about.
