I am new to this newsgroup and have been directed here to ask for advice
please.
Can anyone comment on Tempur matresses, if you have one or one of  that type
(memory foam I believe is the product description) your advice will be most
helpful.   If you have one which one do you have i.e. make and model if
appropriate.
Having purchased what is *supposed* to be the *best* in auto. beds which has
turned out to be a costly mistake, I am trying to get some info. before
making another.
TIA

I advised donut to ask the question here, as I know a few of you use these
mattresses and would be able to give an opinion.

What is an auto bed? and what was it's mistakes for your body.
I have a Select Comfort and love it.
I also have one of those memory foam pillows which seems to be the best
one for my neck. It is my third one as the foam in it breaks down within
three years and I need a new one. The pillows are costly enough -- would
not like to have to do that with a mattress. JMO

There have been previous discussions about beds that you should be able to
access through Google groups.  I don't use any of the special ones right now,
but here's what I've gleaned from past discussions:

Tempur-pedic mattresses are wonderful for some fulks initially, but they
don't seem to have a very long life at the wonderful stage.  Something about
the foam breaking down.

Depending on the state of your current bed, you might try adding a memory
foam topper for a while and see if that helps.

Lots of people like the quality air-beds, Select-Comfort is the widely known
brand but Comfort-aire is equally good and less expensive.  They usually come
with a 90 day free return and both have 25 year warranties.  There are slight
differences between the two so you might investigate both if you decide to go
that route.  (Mike doesn't know it, but I'm hoping to go the Comfort-aire
route when teh current futon gets too compressed.)
