Hi Alex,

Just thinking of you and Sarah today and wondering if she is out of
surgery yet?   Praying for a successful surgery and for a complete and
uncomplicated recovery!!!   Will Sarah have to undergo any chemo or
radiation after the surgery, or do they expect todays surgery to take
care of everything?

Many prayers and healing thoughts and and prayers for strength flowing
out to the both of you!!!

Hugs,

Donna G

The hysterectomy surgery was faster & easier on her than the thoracotomy. They
started at 12:40 & were done by 2:10 & she was in a room & awake by 4:30. They
want her to sit up tonight & she is supposed to be up & walking tomorrow. She
should be home saturday in time for our 34th anniversary on sunday.

We won't get the pathologist report until friday so don't know if she will need
chemo or radiation. The staff oncologist warned us that with this being the
second cancer & a different type within 5 years that she will have to watch out
for other cancers in the future.

I'm glad for you both that is over.  And sounds as if it went as well as it
could.

I hate waits like this. May it be good news.

Hate to pick on the nice oncologist, but that is sure stating the obvious.
Anyone who has had one cancer is watching out for the future.  Anyone who
even has cancer in their family watches out.

Alex,

Thank you for letting us know how Sarah is doing and how the surgery went.

Still wishing you all the best and still praying and sending healing
thoughts for Sarah also.

I hope you pamper her muchly for your anniversary. I know you are the strong
one and that you do look out for her alot.

It sure is scary about the cancer and having to watch for it all the time.
But I will be keeping on praying that no cancer comes back or that she
doesn't get more.

Love and hugs to all

The prayers, good thoughts, candles & what ever worked. The cancer had
progressed to stage 1A grade 2 but hadn't spread yet so they got it all. Sarah
doesn't need radiation or chemo & can come home tomorrow saturday 7/24/04.

Well said,,,,,   It is time for us to remember that this does happen.   It
is also the time to thank the Lord for this day because we are not promised
another.    It is time to enjoy the little things that are a part of a
couples day to day life and to let her know how pleased you are about how
things turned out.   It is time to push the fear away that I know you felt
and fill that space with love.
