Whoa, you all sure have problems with the sinus. I was pleased to see you
talk about this area. I don't do the enbrel. But boy do I know the chronic
sinusitis, it is my long life friend by now. ;-)
Harv, you gave me some encouragement sharing about your sinuses being fixed.
Hopefully after I get done with all this other testing stuff that is now
more important than sinus, then maybe I can get the CT scan done for the
sinuses.
Harv, Nann, Melissa, Rebecca, Melinda, Rose B, Carol, and anyone else that
has this I feel for you and know somewhat of what you go thru with this.
Those listed above, thank you for talking about this and sharing info on it.
It gave me some ideas to do for myself.
I really do feel for anyone who has to go thru the sinus stuff, allergies,
etc. I know the last few weeks mine has been terrible again. I had to go to
drs and she said sinusitis. I said well lets do blood work before I have to
go on an antiboitic to make sure. Blood work came back showing no infection.
But yet I have all the pain in sinus areas, the swelling, etc. I have looked
like a monster. My eyes, sinus areas, ears, etc have swelled. Almost looks
like I have moon face from pred and I haven't been doing pred.
I hope something works for you all and you get a rest from the sinus stuff.

Hi Jo,,, Please do not just endure the pain and swelling. As you have
seen in all the replies, it can be caused by several different things and
can be handled by a good doctor who has all the information the doc needs
about the problem.

Harv,
I will try as soon as I can. Right now we have more severe problems we are
going after. Will post later about what we are now looking at.
Nanny, I hear that about Sinus Gulch. I think the drs are really having a
hard time dealing with the sinuses all over this year. Bad year.
I use Nasarel nasal spray and saline solution nasal spray. I also take
Claratin. My sinuses just don't like living here but don't have any other
choice.

Hi Squirrely. Here in Ohio we live in what is known as "Sinus Gulch", at
least that's what my doctor called it when I was getting sinus infections
2-3 times a year. Then, it seemed the infections tapered off, but that
could have been because I started taking Doxepin about that time, and
Doxepin is known as a good allergen. Remember when I talked about my
chronic cough over on AMF? Well, the allergy specialist started me on an
inhaler, to check out whether it was asthma related. I noticed no
difference. Then, he put me on a nasal spray, Nasonex, which you need a
prescription for. Since I'm having such good results with it, and my cough
is about 75-80% improved, I'm inclined to think my main problem is
sinus-related and has been for many years. Have you tried this nasal spray
