I have really needed to go to the grocery store since last Thursday. Went
to watch middle grandson's seniors all-star baseball game last night and got
home late and hungry. I slept late this morning (woke up early, tool a pain
pill and went back to bed) and woke up to bare cupboards and absolutely
starving. Well I headed for the store but know better than to shop in that
state, so I stopped at McDonald's and had an Adult Happy Meal. A grilled
chicken cobb salad and a bottle of water, with a step meter for the grownups
toy. The salad was wonderful. Grilled chicken with lots of blue cheese
bits and lots of ham bits and hard boiled egg bits on greens. I was half
way thru it before I even looked at the dressing. First three ingredients
were water, vinegar, and corn syrup so I passed on that, but it really
didn't need it.
I'm down 8 lbs and a very happy camper so far.

Good job Jo.
Today was my first day at phase two. Yesterday I got strawberries and I
bought some Uncle Sam cereal which turned out to not be too bad. Course
without having any bread or sugar for so long probably would mean that
cardboard would taste good now. ;) I also went down the bread isle
comparing all the breads there. Finally settled on Pepperidge Farms'
Naturally Whole Wheat - German Dark Wheat bread. And it was yummy.
Had some for lunch to finally put around the turkey slices. I also used
the tomato/basil humus as a spread on one side and mustard on the other.
Well, I have my fingers crossed that moving to #2 will not put weight
back on.

Still waiting for my books to arrive, then Myron and I will be joining you on
this diet. Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow.
