Since I am a newly diagnosed OA and on my 2nd day of pain free living, I
need to know if "flare-ups" are common. I got a shot of cortisone in my knee
about 1 1/2 weeks ago and don't know if my status is because of that or if I
am in a "cool down" stage. My hands and feet don't hurt, etc......... and
would like to know something about why this is happening. I'm not
complaining mind you! LOL

Dear Boca Jan,

Welcome to our sandbox!  I'm sorry that you had to find your way here.  You'll
find lots of helpful information and some friends.  (at least we hope so)  I've
had OA now for 24 years and yes it comes and goes.  Sometimes it several days
and sometimes it can be a few years.

Welcome!
Good Luck!

Thank you Vickie. I am at least happy to find out what is wrong with me. I
have been having wandering pain since I turned 50 and started menopause.
Knowing is better then just feeling lousy and hurting.
