Are white beans allowed on the phase one or not until phase 2 and 3?

The reason I ask, is because I just got 2 taco soup recipes from a
friend.   The first one calls for:

16 oz of salsa
2 C. of chicken broth
2 C. of cooked chicken
48 oz of white beans

The second one is a bit more spicey and calls for:

28 oz of tomatoes
1 med onion
celery (optional)
1 C. water
2 C. corn (which I would probably delete for the diet and maybe add
zuchinni or summer squash and maybe some cooked chicken)
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dip mix
48 oz white beans

Both say they may be served with sour cream and/or cheese.

So, what do you think?   Is this not phase 1 because of the beans?

First one sounds fine.  Beans are OK.  Second one not OK.  Because of the
corn, rather than the beans.  I would be checking the salsa label for sugars
though.

Those really sound good!

I think - besides checking the salsa for added sugar, the chicken broth should
be low fat, you're right to replace the corn and don't forget to watch the taco
seasoning and ranch dip mix for sugar. I haven't found any spice mixes that
don't have added sugar so I buy them all individually and mix 'em at home. And
don't forget to go low-fat/no-fat on the cheese and sour cream.
