Hi all: Does anyone else get swollen feet and ankles? I am wondering if it is
from the Humira? It is very slight but there nonetheless. I t has been very
humid here and I wonder if that is not the cause. Also, the rash I had last
week under my left breast is nearly gone now thanks to the lotrimin and Gold
Bond powdet but now I have it in both armpits a little and it itches!!!! Have
any of you gotten it like that where it moves from one spot to the next?
Thanks so much for any informaton you can provide.
Nan

That is where (and how) my psoriasis first appeared. My gp didnt know what it
was, so biopsied it, and it came back psoriasis. A few months later, I
developed PA.
See your doctor.
In the meantime, OTC steroid cream will help with the itch.

edema "swelling" in your legs and feet can be caused by many things - It
can be very serious, and can cause blood clots, which can kill you.
You should see a doctor to determine the cause, and to get the best
treatment.
Treatments.
1) The simplest treatments are dirueretics - Lasix was originally used
for treating swollen legs in race horses. It, or other diuretics can
help quite a bit
2) taping. Cardiologists often recommend wrapping a wide Ace bandage
tightly, beginning at the ankle and wrapping up to the top of the calf.
THIS can also force the fluid out of the tissue, and get the tissue
back into shape.
3) Tubular bandages. Orthopods seem to prefer tubular bandages. It is
also used in many other countries. These are rolls of mesh. You cut a
piece to fit from your foot up your leg to over the calf. like
stockings and wrapping, but lighter and more comfortable
4) Stockings, preferable TENS, but also support stockings.
These are a few ideas, but edema can mask something really nasty, so DO
check with a physician.

Sounds like the humidity added to the problem.
I would still have it checked out by a dr though.

Always a good idea to keep an eye on it of course. But when it is warm and
humid I always get slightly swollen extremities. Part of the lymph system
trying to cool off, ya know? It sends all these fluids to the extremeties
where they circulatory system is closer to the surface. If it gets worse
though, or you develop other problems, or it persists after the weather
breaks, you shuold call your doctor. Otherwise you're probably ok, but it
would be a good idea to mention it the next time you see your doc.
