Ok I am confused. Can you be positive for RA and then on another test a year
later its negative? Does that mean you still have RA?
I have ALL the symptoms and I am on Remicade. Doc thinks I still have it,
but I am wondering ???

Yes, it happened to me, and I still *definitely* have RA. (Something
like 20% of people who have RA are RF negative.)

I flipped after about 18 months of RA. It's rare, but it can happen.

Hon---RA doesnt just go away.  If you are feeling pretty good, they you have
your Remicade to thank for it.

Nope flat on my butt now.........knuckles swollen knees swollen and weak and
ankles and feet the same way....owieeeeee.. I def have RA
I had a LONG talk at my appt the other day I asked where she thought I was
on the scale of mild RA to Severe RA. She said the RA is def active and that
I am somewhere in the middle. I do not have deformities or do I use a cane
or chair to get around( I feel blessed because I can still get around ok) I
can not get through the store without hurting like crazy. That is scary to
me I am only 33 that is scary. She told me because I am on Remicade I will
never have to be in a chair or that I will never have deformities. I thought
that was bold of her to assume, but she just could have been trying to give
me hope...Thanks Char

Rhonda,
Now I feel worse. I am only 30, yet I for a lot of the time use a
cane, and am getting more and more closer to having to use a cane.
sigh. I remember like 10 yrs. ago I could do so much. Am now crippled
uop pretty bad, it seems. And its only begun to get bad for me. The
worst is yet to come. Somehow I will make it through. Am waiting for
better weather too.
Wish ya the best,

MM

I've been sero negative since day 1, yet my RD is treating me as if I
have RA.  I've got all the physical symptoms, but no RF in the blood.

For me, it was the isotope uptake bone scan that gave my RD all the info
she needed.

As much as I used to love the warm weather, since getting this mess a
few years ago, I can't wait until autumn so I will stop aching.
