My granny is having a heart cath this morning. She's had some symptoms lately
that may be caused by another blockage, in fact I wouldn't be at all surprised
to find that she has had another heart attack recently.

In my opinion, the best thing that could happen today is that they find a small
blockage and break it up using the ballon. If they find nothing, then we are
back to the drawing board as to the cause of her symptoms. If they find a major
blockage, she is not surgical canidate in any way, I am not even sure if
they'll be able to put stents in her.

It's a little scary because Easter is always the last holiday before someone
dies in our family. My brother and Grandpa both died within a couple weeks of
sharing Easter dinner with us.

Just hoping today goes as well as it possibly can and appreciate all good
thoughts!

Thanks!

sending them out now.

My dad's arteries were so narrow, genetically, that the cardiologist had a
devil of a time getting the stents in, but he did manage to do it.  It bought
Daddy a couple more years and he was much more alert during them.  If they'd
had the medicated stents that they have now, it might have bought him much
more.

May they find the problem and get it fixed right up.

Thank you everyone! It worked! One of her bypasses was 100% blocked and one
vessel was 95% blocked. When they came out and told us they said they were not
optimistic about being able to get stents in because the vessels are so small.
He said it was like working on a very small child. (since she weighs 75lbs I
guess it would be!) The other bypasses were about 50% blocked, and they werent
worried about those.

When they came out again they said the stents went in with ease! Much, much
easier than they expected. She is in CCU now and looks 100% better then she did
before they did it!

The before and after pictures of her vessels are amazing.

Thank you all!

KJ, surely hope they do find out exactly what is wrong with your granny and
are able to fix it while she's there.  She's one tough lady so I bet she'll
be doing well and up and out before long.
