I had my "selective nerve block" yesterday. Everything went fine. My leg is
still a bit numb, but otherwise I am fine. I guess I'll know in a couple days
if I get any benefit from the first one. The next one is scheduled for May 5.

Thanks Diane! Danielle is doing very well. She hasn't engaged in any of what
they call "target" behavior (ie: throwing up, restricting food, cutting, etc)
in a month now! We are extremely proud of her and praying it continues!

>Just what is done when having a nerve block?
They went in my back with a long catheter, feed it thru to the nerve that is
damaged and injected the nerve with steriods. It's all done under xray.

Hope the nerve block works for ya, KJ! And I'm glad to hear Danielle
has been doing so well! I bet you feel even more relieved as the time
grows longer since the last struggle. I think of Danielle often and
say prayers for her.
I was at the clinic today to see Dr. Bennett and found out that the
orthos and the rheumatology group have split up. Do you know what's
up with that? The lady said that they're still working in the same
building, but are now totally separate groups. It sounded like there
may have been problems brewing. Just a feeling I got from the way
they acted today.

I hadn't heard that but I am not surprised. I never thought it was a good idea
when they merged in the first place. Too many doctor's with the "I am God"
syndrome in one practice can only mean trouble!!!
I hope they do seperate the office back to the way it was before the merge. A
waiting room that can hold 75 people and is soemtimes standing room only is
just too overwehlming! I walk in there sometimes and see them setting up extra
chairs cuz it's soo packed and I just wanna leave!

KJ, praying that the nerve block does everything it is supposed to do
and brings you some much needed relief! Hope it won't numb your leg
though and set you up for more falls!
