Methotrexate

.6 cc injceted weekly for ten years, normal blood work was 6 months with
check up. Now 2 -3 months. Test have always come back negative. What is
normal for follow up blood test with Methotrexate.

I get mine done every 5-6 weeks, I take 1 ml. each week.

Not sure exactly what is normal, but its more often than six months.
That isn't soon enough if a problem develops.

I compromise with my doctor who would like to see monthly and manage
to get it done every three months.

Wish I could help you.  I take the same dosage as you and the same
schedule, once a week.  But, I've only been taking MTX for a few years, and
just got switched to injections from pills in the last 6 months.  I didn't
pay much attention to numbers, but I would like to know as well.  Nanny

Hi DeeTee.  My Rheumy sees me and has my blood tested every 2 months.  I
imagine it depends on the doctor involved.  Nanny

My rheumy writes a "standing order" for lab work every 2 months.
