We had little doubt that we were living in a toxic house the past 5 years.
The dust that accumulated was epic.  And there was much mold in the basement
that fired up even more when it flooded again or just when we had humid
weather in the summer.  We've both been SOOOOO much better sinus-wise since
the move.  We're both taking much less Sudafed which is really nice -
especially as I have to sign in blood to buy it these days.  I've even dared
to eat ice cream a couple of times and have been eating more cheese.  In
Hillman, my other allergies were so bad I didn't dare have anything that
would fire up the milk allergy.  now I can risk it occasionally!

Meanwhile, i had a 'get-acquainted' appointment with our new PCP last Friday.
First impression is that he's a definite keeper.  Would you believe he even
has his pager number on the answering machine at the office so patients can
page him themselves?  That's a real first IME.  Actually, he wasn't taking
any new patients, but we had an in.  The committee that hired Mike included
the retired, much respected doctor who sold his practice to this new doc
after much looking around for the right guy.  The retired doc asked the new
guy to take us on.  The new guy asked all the right questions, *listened* to
my answers, asked the right follow-up stuff, knew something about all my meds
and my specialists, etc.  Hopefully I won't have to see him again until my
physical in the fall, but it's good to have the groundwork started with a
good doc.

Oh, and he was practicing in Bay City during that year we were there.  When I
mentioned having a bozo of an RD there whom I would never recommend to
anyone, he knew just who I meant!  I couldn't remember the name, but he knew
it!  LOL

So, Mike flew off to Florida for 11 days this morning - first a conference,
then a couple of days visiting his daughetr & SIL.  I've decided while he's
gone, I'm treating myelf to a visit to the massage thereapist here who does
trigger point & myofascial release as well as the standards.  She should be
able to work out some of the kinks left from all the stressors of the last 3
months.  I've gone from having to drive 25 miles to get a halfway decent
massage to having an excellent one available just a few blocks walk away! I'm
callling tomorrow to talk about an appointment, I'm not sure how much work my
body will tolerate right now.  But I must get started on something to calm
the fibro back down after all this work.

Now though, I really MUST go to bed!  LOL

It does not surprise me that you are handling all this so well and the
good Lord is taking care of one of my favorite people with the new people in
her life.   Yes,,, go to bed and may you rest well and long.   The body
rebuilds itself during this time.

Great news, Nann.  So glad you got out of that other house!!  Take your few
days of peace and quiet and just you and be a lively beautiful woman when
Mike gets back.  I envy you your "as well as the standards..."   I've wanted
to get a massage from a professional but things just haven't clicked time
wise to schedule it.

heehee, isn't it amazing what turns of phrase we will come up with to shorten
our typing?  Don't envy the conditions that led me to getting regular
massages in the past, though.  When my back starts knotting up from the fibro
it isn't nice.  Add to that the leg cramping that has returned after a 30
month hiatus and I do need help.  The last time they were cramping this much,
one massage visit finally fixed me up after months of trying to work it out
and wait it out.  Hopefully she can help out my golfer's elbow troubles too.
No one near us the past 4 3/4 yeras was good on the fibro aches and the
thought of going to someone with the specific training has me beaming.  I
left a message on her machine this afternoon and I hope she'll return my call
about scheduling an appt. tomorrow!  (well, later today.)

I know you can really appreciate that sort of news!  I was buying more
Sudafed at Walgreens last week and the pharmacy clerk asked me if I was going
through it as fast as she was with the pollen right now.  LOL  I told her we
actually were taking less of it now that we had moved away from he moldy
basement!

thanks, me too.  Those fibro kinks have gotten really uncomfortable again and
my muscle relaxer isn't doing much for them.  I'm hoping she can help get me
back to where I was in April.

Hey Nann,

with your golfers elbow tendonitis, when you lean on the arm/elbow area do
you get pain. I was fine with it for some time now but all of a sudden the
last week or so if i push on a spot real close to the elbow, like if I lean
on that area against my leg or on a table, bed etc, it really hurts. Feels
like a bump area there too.

No wonder the dr couldn't find the bump, it moved on us. LOL

I have been having allergy problems too. It is weird to say the least. I am
usually so stuffed up and my nose is so dry.  But for about the last month
now, my nose is running after I have been asleep at night for awhile. That
is weird for me because I don't usually have a runny nose. I guess things
like to change for me to keep me on my toes. LOL

I realized this evening that I'd never answered your question.  I was waiting
originally to figure out the answer, then just forgot!  My elbow is tender in
the affected area.  Where my tendonitis is, it's the inside part of the elbow
that is tender.  i forget where it is if it's tennis elbow rather than
golfer's elbow.
