Well I am back in my own home again. I love to visit others, but I am
happiest in my own home. Go figure! LOL I had a great visit with Braeden and
his family. He is such a cutie and has really started developing his
personality. He laughs and "talks" like crazy now and really shows his
temper when he wants something and it's not immediately forthcoming. When
he's hungry he demands his milk at the top of his lungs. It reminds me so
much of my own two when they were that age. And it is SO special to watch my
son in his new role as father. He is doing an awesome job and I am really
proud of him.

I was in sardine can sized airplanes for the trip. Why isn't there a direct
flight from Columbus to Baltimore? I had to fly in a puddle jumper to
Cleveland first. About 10 minutes into the flight someone in the seat in
front (every seat was full and the seats were little) of me sneezed. I
thought about putting a mask on but realized it was already too late. If
there was something (like swine flu) in the air, I was already exposed.
Sigh. There were 37 of us on that flight, not including the crew. Then a
slightly larger puddle jumper for the flight to BWI. Didn't count the
passengers on that one. There was one seat on one side of the plane and two
on the other. I had a seat on the side with the one seat, so that was a
little more comfort. The way back, we had a small plane from BWI to Newark,
NJ. The flight was delayed an hour. I was certain I had missed my connecting
flight...especially when we found we had to go to another terminal
altogether. I will NEVER fly into or out of the New Jersey airport ever
again. It's horrible!!! The wheelchair guy was Pakistani and I could not
understand his English at all. We went the scenic route down to the shuttle
bus entrance where we waited and waited and then climbed on the bus. That
first step was rough but not as rough as the ride! Good Grief! I think every
inch of the airport is under construction. There was no way I'd have made my
connection even if we had been on time. Then we got to the other terminal.
Getting down out of that bus was - well, painful. Let's leave it at that. We
finally got to the gate only to find that my connecting flight was late as
well and was just now ready to board. So I was able to get on right away.
This one was 2 by 2 but was not full so we were able to spread out a little.
Only had a 15 minute wait until Bob came and got me. Heaven! and now I'm
home.

I didn't take as many pictures as I thought I would but everyone else was
taking pictures and I'm sure they'll be posting the pictures soon. I am
still really, really tired, but I expected that and have not scheduled a
whole lot for the coming week. As soon as I get all the pictures done, I
will post the url for them.

Glad to hear you are back :)))

I rode in planes like that when I went from NY to Cleveland once.  I was
also on the side with the one seat. I rather liked it :)  When I fly out
of Bellingham to Seattle for a connecting flight, we get a prop job :)
Not even a little jet!

Sit, relax, and have a nice cuppa tea :)

i'm so glad you got to visit with your grandson and everyone. sorry
about the flights. i had to laugh, though. my sister lives near
newark, so i am VERY accustomed to the airport (and the little
planes). the flights never ever ever leave newark on time. ever. as i
was reading your post, i had no fear that the plane would still be
there for you.

glad you're home safe and sound!
