I'm not posting much cuz I pulled a muscle in my back and can't sit at
the computer for too long. I am reading the posts, so if you've asked
for prayers, I'm praying :)
Warning - cleaning your closet can be hazardous to your health - don't
do it :) That's what I did.
Now it's back to the couch and my heating pad.

I hope you feel better soon. You know there's a secret to cleaning out a
closet - don't put so much in it! LOL

bubble wrap for you too, and no more cleaning closets for you.
take care and praying you will heal quickly.
next time listen to your back when it says it wants to go out and take it
out, instead of letting it go out on its own.

ppfffttttt.......... *sputtle*....... if only my allergies would let me get
away with that. Sadly, they forced me into dusting and reducing piles of
stuff more often.

Carole - bubble wrap for you too! Is this affecting your dreamweaver
course? Clean closets are over rated. I have to say I have been cleaning
mine for the past 3 days. It is a slow process - 5 minutes at a time I
figure.
Get thee to the couch and the heating pad. Will be thinking of you!

this is the way I do things SJ. I won't hurt myself trust me!
a) Look at closet - close door so can't see
b) Open closet door - mess still there - close door again. Go for nap
c) Move out bag of books - get Pat to carry into car for second hand store.
Lie down and read one of books you have rescued
d) Pick up clothes on floor that have fallen. Have nap
e) Throw some clothes into box for Sally Ann - get Pat to carry into car.
Sit on couch and read more.
f) Start to go through quilting magazines to sort out for garage sale for
Guild. Don't throw out any - go read more.
g) Third Day - can't close door to closet anymore. Put box in closet to
put summer stuff into. Take summer clothes out of said box and put in
washer (might need these for New Orleans). Go read book and quilt magazine
found on floor.
h) Fourth Day - go to hardware store to get board to fix bookcase so I can
put books and magazines off closet floor. Then read a book - fixing will
have to be put off until tomorrow. Read another magazine and book.
i) Fifth Day - read about Carole's misadventure, get Pat to put everything
back in piles in closet and think about doing this another month.
So everything is still a mess but I did find a book to reread and got Pat to
get some exercise lifting and pushing boxes around. Will try to fix
bookcase tomorrow so at least next week I can put the books and magazines I
can't throw out away.
So no I won't end up hurt. I don't work hard enough or long enough to do
that SJ.
But thanks for the thought. My closet is actually a little cleaner after
several days of reading books etc.

ROTFL! sounds very familiar........ I was wondering about you not getting
side-tracked by the need to get the quilting magazines organized somewhere in
the open, but then you got to that a couple of days later. hmmmm, perhaps I
should stop replying here and go look through my collection of older Threads
magazines, from when it was a *really* good magazine.....

I had to postpone taking the course till next semester. There is no way
I could sit in a classroom for three hours right now :( And to top it
off we got 4+ inches of snow last night. So it's me, my couch and the
heating pad.
Carole :)

The colleges in WA actually go on trimesters. So the next course will be
given in April or May. Not too bad :)) I'm also signed up for the
marine naturalist course which will lead me to becoming a certified
marine naturalist. I am hoping to get a job one day a week on a whale
watch boat this summer. I just have to find out how that will affect my
SSDI, although I may just tell them they don't have to pay me, just let
me go out with them so I can photograph the whales :)

But....
I thought that was what closets were for. To put things you didn't
have a place for.
I was wracking my brain to figure out why you would need to clean a
closet when I know you moved in the past year.
It dawned on me that with your weight loss there might be things to
get rid of.
You rule girl.

It was actually my hall closet, that houses the wonderful vacuum
cleaner, my shopping cart, and my extra picture frames (in case someone
buys one of my photos :) I decided to rearrange it so that it wasn't so
cluttered. I guess when I was picking up the various bags to see what
was in them, I came back up the wrong way and pulled the muscle. I
should have left well enough alone :))
I'm doing a bit better now. It's still painful but nothing like it was
last Friday. The doctor said it would take 7-10 days to heal. In the
meantime, I've covered myself in bubble wrap :-)))
Carole

Move over, Carole. I'm just killing myself packing. Well, not the
packing so much, but finding things that have been stashed in awkward
places. I'll join you on you couch, and bring my own bubble wrap. I
have some pretty dark pink stuff - can't see through it as easily...
Nah, never mind. I'm going to Florida tomorrow night for almost a
week. I love being able to hear the rust dropping from my
joints. :) Anyway, here's to quick healing for you.

That's OK. I went the the optometrist last week for an eye exam. When he
saw that I had Essence insurance, he assumed I was 65!!!!!! Geez, I
hope I look this good when I'm 65!!
