Janice, do pray that you get some help and relief very soon..  It is just so
miserable to hurt all the time.

I am having a pity party for myself, I am in so much pain I can hardly walk.
my feet, knees and my back all are keeping me from walking.  My feet are
swollen and hurt so bad ,I called my ortho today to see if he could see me.
he told me month ago  he could inject my feet and help me some.  my knees
hurt also and are swollen too. I think an injection in my feet  would give
some relief to my knees also.  and my back,  since my surgery have had
injections in my spine but they want me to wait til November to get another
one, I am not sure I can.  I know I am gonna have to have something to help
me.  the tramadol is just not doing any good and the other meds are not
helping either.  how bout a prayer from some of you.!!  I am gonna need some
help from the higher ups to get relief.
I cant do any housework or anything I usually try to keep up with. I know
what I need, its just getting a doctor to give me some predisone. dont know
why they are so hesitant to give it to me. to  all of you , take care and
will be online again soon.

I feel so bad for you.  We're having some fronts go through here so Mom and
I are having a few twinges, but nothing like what you are describing.

That's difficult. I often have too much pain to walk but that doesn't make
it any easier. According to my doctor the problem with injectable steroids
too often is that they eventually cause bone death. So while there is a
short term improvement it's at quite a long term risk. Hang in there until
you can get some relief and don't worry about the housework. I usually try
to be nice to myself in other ways when things are really bad like eating
chocolate without guilt and small things like that.

able to give you some relief.  If he can cut the pain anywhere, that should
help all of it some - as we know pain, when more places hurt it isn't a
matter of addition but of multiplication!  feel better, lady.

oh Janice, I am adding  you to the prayer list. I feel for you sweetie. i
hope you can get something that will help. Yeah it would be nice if the drs
would give us the pred when we need it and in my case keep me on it like i
need to be on it. I don't know what their problem is.

prayers coming, janice. let the housework go for now. can you see your
doc next week to try to get something to control the pain?

be.  When we live long enough in our own bodies, we can pretty well
determine what it needs, yet the doctor may not agree.  I'm praying right
now that you will be able to find someone who will give you prednisone.  
Sounds like you're in a crisis situation.  Just as a bit of information, I never
take Tramadol by itself.  I have to combine it with Excedrin to get any results
at all.  After 30 years of chronic pain, my Rheumy finally gave me a
prescription for hydrocodone.  Do  you have a Rheumy?  Usually they're more
willing to treat symptoms, with Pred, injections, or a higher level of pain
medication.  You must "fight" to get relief from the medical profession.  I hope
your prayers are answered for you in a positive way!  Nanny
