I wear 2 or 3 patches for 8 to 12 hours, then apply KETOPROFEN, a
compounded RX available only from a Compounding Pharmacy.
The patches get me through the day, and the KETOPROFEN allows me to
square dance in the evening (Mary and I danced 3 nights last week).

My co-pay with Tricare was $9 a month locally -- now it's $9 for
a 3-month shipment from a mail order pharmacy. Same with Enbrel
($22) and all other RX's now -- 3 months for the price of 1 month.

I have lidoderm and no copay so that's not a factor. I generally put the
patches on my back, though. Once I put them on my knees. Did help the pain
but about tore the skin off my knees taking the patches off.
I used to use Ketoprofen and yep, it did have to be made from scratch by the
pharmacist. Most pharmacies don't do that. It's in the form of a cream. You
rub it on (it's used sparinglyz).
