I have a feeling there will be crab dishes, which would be cool since
I've never tasted Alaskan King Crab. :-))

King Crab Legs are absolutely yummy.  The only trouble I have is when
they don't crack open the legs.  Then it's hard for me to do and I have
to ask for help.  I'm drooling, can you tell?

Sometimes in this old world things just go a persons way and I want you not
to blow it.   Keep going until something tells you to stop,,,, that you are
at the end of things going your way,,,, like ending up smelling like fish
that have been in a ship for a week.  :-) :-)

I went last night and it was, without a doubt, one of the best nights of
my life!  Although only a couple of people knew it (because I shared
with them) I considered it the coming out party of the new & improved
Carole.  I felt so pretty and one of the captains told me that I was
beautiful :)  One of the deckhands told me to sit on his lap and it's
been over 35 years since a man said that to me :-)  It was then that I
realized just how much weight I had lost. I was on cloud 9 all night.
These are the photos :)))

Thanks, Diane, I was a very happy camper to be there!

Oh, you have to watch it, Diane. It's on Discovery Channel. I first
discovered it three years ago when I first got sick and the doctor told
me that I was to sit on the couch with the remote control and do
nothing. I was channel surfing one day and saw the show, and once I saw
it, I just had to watch it every week. Now they are in season 4!

I entered on the Discovery Channel wiki website. It was a random drawing
- they chose 40 people and I was one of them.

You look beautiful and happy.  I like the picture of you and Jonathan where

of strangers.

that Edgar sure does clean up good...as does his brother!!!

I love the show I never miss and episode

I love the show too. I started watching it three years ago when I first
got sick with CHF and had to stay home all day doing nothing (those were
the cardiologist's orders). I saw it one day and got hooked. I never
miss an episode either. One of the gifts we got at the party was Season
Three on DVD (the deluxe version :)  We also got a copy of the new book,
Deadliest Catch: Desperate Hours, and a tshirt :)

Johnathan is an absolute sweetheart...more like a big teddybear :)

It's all about the crab fishermen in Alaska on the Bering Sea. It's on
Discovery channel. On Sunday they are doing a marathon all day, so you
can catch up :)))  I started watching it when I first got sick and had
to stay home all day, and once I saw it, I was hooked. And yes, the guys
are all good looking, but they are also sweet :-)))

I still can't imagine who got the idea to send a camera crew out on those
crab boats and make a show out of it.  And celebrities out of the crews.

Our family is a hooked as anyone else, don't get me wrong.  Both grandsons
checked out your pictures yesterday and are most impressed.

But still, it had to have seemed like a really hare brained idea at first.

I'm not allowed in the room however when Survivorman is on.  The idiot that
gets himself dropped off at various locations without food, water, or
matches and films himself surviving for several days off the land.  They
just glare at me when I ask why he can't just pack a lunch.

There is a book out now called "Deadliest Catch: Desperate Hours". They
gave us a copy at the party. It was supposed to be a one time thing -
just a documentary that was part of an Extreme Alaska series. But people
loved it and it took off :)

LOL, tell them I felt like the luckiest woman on the planet :))

LOL!!!  Yea, I'm not into that one at all. But there is something about
Deadliest Catch that I just love. Maybe it's because I've watched it for
the past three years, and you get caught up in each person's personal story.

One of the most interesting guys I met the other night was one of the
cameramen. We had a lot of fun and he had some great stories to tell! I
don't envy him his job though.  But we did have a terrific conversation
on photography :)
