In all my years in school/college/university, I never
heard the term "perfect number" until this week.

I do know there is a teacher or two out there in ASA
who I'm hoping can define the term.

... Get the facts first - you can distort them later!

A perfect number is one in which the sum of its divisors equal that
number. For example, consider the number 6. 1,2, and 3 are its
divisors, and 1+2+3=6.
(I looked it up, and got this info inWikipedia-- not the world's
greatest source I know). In first grade we do not know this.  The
students would  think the perfect number is 1, because they are still
very egocentric. LOL. I on the other hand,  believe it should be the
number 2. Haha.Others may have different ideas...

one seeks to understand it.
