Dear Friends,
I have a friend with OA. During Friday night, a hard lump almost
completely round of about one inch in diameter came up on her
shoulder. It is about where the collar bone attaches the shoulder.
It hurts! She called her doctor today and can't get in for two
weeks! (Yikes! I wouldn't put with that but she has no
alternative.) She regularly sees a rhemy. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!

Vickie,
Your friend really needs to get this situation checked out. I had a
friend who developed something similar, and never got it checked out
until a year or so later. Turned out that the knot was because she had
broken her collar bone without even realizing it and it healed in a
strange position that basically left her with the knot for ever because
the doctors would have otherwise had to take her to surgery and rebreak
everything!
Can she at least perhaps get her doctor to order an x-ray to be done so
that they will have that information when she finally does get in to see
her doctor?
Best wishes!!!

I would be worried this person broke the collar bone from the sounds of it.
Praying all works out for your friend.
