than to get too cocky!  Saturday was good.  I was looking forward to the 3.5
wk. mark which is when Arava kicked in for me before.  (just 2.5 weeks away!)
Zicam had quickly knocked my cold down to levels of very mild allergy
attacks.  The sun was out and it reached 60 degrees!  I did some garden
cleanup and Puddin' Cat loved being outsied on his leash.

Sunday afternoon found me emptying my stomach of all contents as another
virus hit me so haard I spent 25 minutes on the floor of the bathroom after
the second round waiting for the energy to get up and around the corner to
bed.  The stomach part was only 16 hours or so, but the major weakenss and
intestinal cramps hung on until midday Wednesday.

Tuesday we returned from running errands in town to find a letter in the mail
essentially saying Sony can't repair my digital camers.  As we leave for
Paris 5/13, I'm busily searching out info about a replacement.  I'm learning
that the manufacturers don't want to equip a single camera with what I want!

And now the weather's been grey all week with some rain.  Water is flooding
in to the basement (though not yet at Adelle's level, thankfully).  Mike is
sacked out on the couch with a severe headache either from a virus or from
the mold of our wet basement.  The weatherman is talking rain tonight,
turning to sleet with highs "approaching" 40 for the weekend.  I know it's
April in northern Michigan, but it's getting to me!  I'll take cold temps if
we can just get sunshine for more than a few hours each week!  Working in the
yaad Saturday was worth it for the pains it gave my hands and wrists, but
dusting the house just isn't as appealing!  LOL

next week will be better, next week will be beter, next week WILL be
better......

(just to top it all off, I accidentally posted this in the fibro group, where
I just lurk!  should be interesting..... forgot about the camera in that one
though!)

Nann, you really have had enough problems the last many months to last you a
long, long time.  And the viruses are really not being fair to you; they
come too often and hang around too long.  I do hope you're feeling better by
now.  You just have to stay well so you can enjoy Paris, and Mike needs to
stay well also.

Hope you can find a suitable camera for the trip.  I had the same problem
with my wall phone.  The first one I ever had was just perfect; but they no
longer make that kind or anything comparable.  That's like finding a
lipstick you really like, and it is no longer made!

Oh well, as you said, you WILL feel better next week!  And you WILL  find a
camera you like!

I'm telling you - if I never throw up again, it will be too soon!  I hoped
these stomach virsues would go away when i went off the Enbrel, but they've
just gotten slightly less frequent.  I think I may have damaged a tooth in
this last one, too.  need to remember to analyze it with mirrors to decide if
I need to call the dentist.  sigh..........

yep, favorite lipstick color disappeared a couple of eyars ago.  They stopped
making my favorite bra last fall.  These manufacturers are really annoying!

Two weeks to go until te Arava should kick in!

I saw it written somewhere that there is a page on the Internet that
specializes in expired lipstick colors.  They get the formula from the
manufacturer and then make the lipstick.  Good luck on the camera.  Too many
of them nowadays have so many bells on them, one can't find the whistles you
*have* to have.

Really?  Do you promise?  When, oh, please, when?  It's terribly grey today
and the basement is a swamp, despite Mike mopping it twice/day.  I help some,
but my hands can't take much.  We really need several sunny days!

Nann, I hate the fact that you continue to struggle with these
intestinal bugs.  Just doesn't seem right and I worry that they are
missing something with you!   Prayers that you get to feeling better
and stay feeling better for a good long time!!!   Take it easy and be
careful to not over do.  I know, I know, easier said than done, but do
try to be careful with YOU!!!

Hugs,

I think of it more that something is really hiding from the doctors.  During
last year's work-up I had 4 different doctors, all of whom impressed me with
their knowledge and thoroughness, throw up their hands and attribute it all
the my illness process.  But this is only the second stomach bug since that
workup ended with the biopsy at the end of Sept.  now that it appears the
trend is continuing, I'll have to mention that it my next appointments.

Nann, I have a spare digital camera (I saw one with image stabilization
and had an Amazon gift certificate). Email me with your address (my
email is unmunged), and I'll gladly pull the batteries and send it to
you. It's a Panasonic DMC-LC33, 3.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, runs on
AAs, and uses SD memory cards.

I really appreciate the offer, but I want loads of zoom.  The camera that is
unrepairable has a 10x zoom and I want at least that again.  I've been living
on the Digital Camera Resource site for the last two days and have it down to
four to decide between. But my hands & wrists keep limiting how long I can
stay on.   I'm leaning towards the Fuji S8000fd with 18x optical zoom at the
moment.

My camera was a Minolta, but they sold their camera business to Sony a couple
of years ago.  Sony is buying back my camera for about 45% of what I paid.
Considering they didn't make it, it's 3.5 years old & I bought it refurbished
to begin with, I think it's pretty decent of them.  That and the repair fees
I'm NOT paying will cover 2/3 of the cost of my next one.

That is really neat that they would do that.  Sounds like you have your eye
on a really neat camera.  Paris in the spring sounds so lovely.  I remember
Germany was lovely then.

Hope those virus bugs run the other way.  Here's hoping you'll get some
beautiful sunny warm days like we've had here.

I hope you are doing much better now Nann from that terrible stomach flu.

Sorry to hear about the camera, and the flooding basement and Mike being
ill. I hope he is doing better by now too.

I am glad you had a chance to work in the garden. I can imagine how you
feel. Yeah it is somethings nice to do that kind of work even if it does
hurt us.
