Recently I posted information about disabled parking in California, which was
the subject of an active thread several weeks ago. In sum, I wrote
>I've gotten some material from the California DMV about disabled parking; it's a little complicated but the main point is whether the visitor to California has a placard or not; those with a valid placard can park in disabled spaces in California; all others need to apply for a temporary California placard.

>Upon visiting California, you may utilize your resident state or country disabled parking placard, as long as the placard is currently valid and it displays the universal disabled symbol commonly known as the "wheelchair symbol." You must also have an identification document validating that the placard belongs to you.

I've put a slightly re-arranged package of this information at
HTTP://webpages.charter.net/donkirk/parking which may be easier to reach (I
sometimes I have trouble with the newsguy.com site myself).
>Please email me at the address in my headers if you have any problem reaching the page, opening the file, or if you need another format instead of PDF. I haven't been able to convert the PDF to other formats but I haven't exhausted all my resources yet.
I can also be reached at donsno2@charter.net.
