Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow transplant. Please
volunteer to be a marrow donor and literally save someone's life:

Yes. High levels of blood glucose, especially over a prolonged period of
time, can cause macro- and micro-vascular damage. The cause of the high
blood sugar is irrelevant to the potential damage caused. That said,
sometimes pred and its cousins (say, in asthma inhalers) are necessary,
in which case the high blood sugar must be dealt with by other means
(diet and/or medication).

It should be expected and steps taken to immunize the damage it does. After
Pred. does its work to correct whatever problem and stopped,,,, things might
return to normal.
