Donna,

I am so upset, I sent Jim out and then I went out tonight with him and we
looked at several places. I wanted to get you some spiced jelly beans. I
couldn't believe it, not a single jelly bean to be had. Not even the regular
ones. I mean what is this, did they stop putting out jelly beans for Easter
or what.

I wanted so badly to be able to send you some and this time it would have
been because we wanted too.  Really last time Jim did buy the wrong ones.
;-)

I was shocked to see what they had in the Easter line. It isn't what I used
to remember them  having.

Maybe if I could have gotten out before this, maybe we could have found you
some.

But wanted you to know that we were thinking of you even though we can't get
them for you.

LOL.........bless your heart, SJ, but you shouldn't be worrying about
jelly beans for me right now, you have enough on your plate to deal
with.

I suspect that since easter is over, they probably pull all the jelly
beans from the shelves fairly quickly, but even if they hadn't, the
chances of finding the spiced ones would probably be pretty low.  They
really are becoming difficult to find.

You and Jim are so thoughtful to have spent the time and energy on
looking for those for me, but I fell bad you did so.

You both need to concentrate on yourselves as you have both had to
endure so much!!!

Bless you SJ for all you do for so many and for always thinking of
others even in the midst of some seriously hard times that you are
enduring!!!

Hugs to you dear one!!!

Donna,

we didn't mind looking, it helps take our minds off our own problems when we
are trying to help others. It is the only way we can keep on going.

well, guess what I found in the bulk foods & candies section of a local
grocery store today.  Yup, spiced jelly beans.  Look for some in your milbox
this week, Donna!  LOL, after sampling one, I bought more than originally
intended and took some out of the bag for us.  :-)

well, Neiman's Family Market is one of the delights of Alpena.  They carry
many things we didn't think we'd be able to find here, mostly in their bulk
foods section so we can buy however much we want.  They have the best
year-round produce section locally and they've expanded their ethnic foods
section greatly too.  They've truly found a niche to compete with WalMart - I
try to shop there as much as I can.

Usually I ignore the candy part of the bulk foods, but the spiced jelly beans
were on the end and caught me as I doubled back for something.  I must get
some off to you on Monday or I'm going to eat way more than I should!

> Did you all get snow last night?

No.  We haven't had any significant snowfall for someime now.  Just light
snowfall or sleet and ice.  When I was doing some shopping at Birch Run last
week the fellow at the Coleman store told me that all the heavier snows have
been Flint and south.  Even he, living 10 miles south of Birch Run, hadn't
had nearly as much.  Go figure.

I hope the mix they're predicting for Monday isn't bad.  I have an RD appt.
over in Petoskey in the afternoon.  My wrists joined the deterioration this
past week - really aching now and all the nerve-type stuff is firing up in my
hands now.  One elbow keeps screaming and the other complains from time to
time.  I need to see him.  Mike will drive me over though.  When possible,
he'll drive me to any appts. over there and just driving into Alpena
yesterday was too much for my hands.  Can't handle 3 times that distance
right now.

I was in my favorite grocery store yesterday, Randall's, which is a division
of Safeway, and they had a bunch of the Brach's Spiced Jelly Bird Eggs
marked way down.

Wow, Karen, thanks for all the sites.  Who knew there were so many
sources for spiced jelly beans?

I don't care for "spiced" jelly beans, but there is one kind I eat one after
the other:  Brach's Classic jelly beans.  The only one I like, especially
the yellow and red ones; black if I'm desperate ;-)  Nanny
