We're getting hit with snow here in my area.  Already have a good 6+
inches and it is still falling.   Beautiful to watch if you don't have
to be out in it.

Prayers for those who are suffering such severe flooding and other
weather night mares!!!

Hi Jo!
Most of the worst of the storm was north of us here in Dekalb, IL.  We were
on the very southern edge and got a bunch of mixed up stuff. It just seems
it couldn't make up it's mind what it wanted to do here. Rain, sleet,
short-term heavy snow, more sleet, more rain. I am thankful for not getting
buried. 20 miles north had 10-12" I hear.

On another note, had a moving vehicle accident with my mobile home! I wasn't
even driving! Accident report says I was hit by a driverless vehicle! A
young man up the street had gotten out of his Corsica with the engine
running for whatever reason. Brake failed somehow and the car began rolling
downhill. A city block later it came to rest right on the corner of my
residence. BOOM!!! Got my attention in a hurry I'll tell you. Car missed my
gas meter by about 2 feet. Cop said I was a lucky guy. Vehicle is insured so
that is not a problem. Nice kid and was really  bummed by the whole thing.
Says he just got his license back a couple of days before and figures to
lose it again. Felt a little sorry for him actually. Totaled his car he
wasn't driving and I have only minimal damage that I know of right now. Had
the gas company out to make sure there wasn't any leaks in the line.

On another note, have a bad, bad tooth. Bit down on something 2 weeks ago
and saw the dentist then. He said it was just irritated and would heal in
about a week. Thurs. that sucker hurt so bad that if I could have tore it
out then and there I would have. Called for an emergency appt. and was told
the doc was already gone for the day and they are closed Fridays. So they
called in a script for antib's and I bought some tooth numbing stuff to hold
me 'till Monday morn when I can see him. Made me forget all about the pain
in my back I'll tell you!

Oh, by the way, this is the second time I have had my mobile hit at this
location. Who says lightning doesn't strike twice in the same spot?!

Gary, glad you didn't come out any worse on accident to your mobile home.
We had one in Florida and it had two or three times as much storage space as
I have now in a 3 bedroom stick built, and that one was only two bedrooms.
Wish I had it back.

I've had some mouth trouble also.   The dentist said last year that my
bridge was loose and needed to come out and be put back in better.
Foolishly I let him do it.  It came out in January, and this week it came
out again.  I'm thinking of changing dentists!

Gwen and Gary feeling for you with the tooth problems. when you mouth and
face hurt it seems worse than anything because it is right there in your
face and won't go away. I feel for you and hope you can get it taken care of
and that you don't have any more issues with it.

Oh Gary glad to hear the storm didn't hit you as hard as expected.

But not good to hear that your trailer got hit. I am so sorry to hear this
one. Twice too. Man what do you do put a sign out there that says hit me.

Take care and be well.

of your trailer!  Hugs on the tooth - I've done the abcess over a weekend
thing *twice* and I know it really, really ain't fun!

Well, we got 5 inches last night and have set records for both the
snowiest march ever on record and for the snowiest winter ever on
record.

Now, though, it is beautiful out.  Sun is shining bright and it is
actually supposed to be a beautiful weekend!

We got a couple of inches although it has melted mainly now but are due to
get another couple of inches tonight - looks great on the daffodils -
not!!!!

I was going to the sewing show with my girlfriends in Victoria this morning
but turned back.  The highway (the Malahat is infamous for bad weather in
winter sometimes) had jacknifed semis, cars off road etc.  Wasn't worth it.
So came home and had a nap and read a book.  Still tuckered after all the
travelling.

Our weekend is still suppose to be crummy but the sun is sort of peeking out
right now.  Crazy weather.

Take care Donna.

well I tried I guess the other night to heat the one up. I ended up pouring
boiling water over it instead of in my cup a soup. Funny thing was I must
have reacted quick enough to put it under the cold water because it didn't
blister at all. But boy did the cold water activate the arthritis in the
side of my hand and up the bone in my arm.

Yikes, Gary!!!   I think I'd be putting in some type of cement wall to

Hope you were able to get some care and some relief from that tooth

Thanks Donna,
Got into the dentist though I was much better. the antib's did their job. He
says root canal. I said next time.

While I was there the pain clinic called and had an early opening for me. So
I went in. they wish to do steroid injections to the lumbar. He also thinks
much of my trouble maybe caused by the little wing-like bones on the back of
the spine rubbing against each other and predicts we will be spending more
time doing those. Go in next Wed. for first set of injections.

Insurance adjusters office called to tell me their regional guy would get
hold of me in the next couple of days to set an appt. for inspection. She
gave me her personal number to call if there were any problems.

Second pt appt. this afternoon. Felt wonderful after the first one. massage,
electrical stimulation with a huge heat pillow. The lower back exercise she
gave me causes some aching the next day, but I'll live with it so far.

That is all.

Glad your tooth is feeling better, but don't let it go too long or you
may end up like I did last week and have to lose the tooth all together.
Not fun.

Shouldn't matter, Jo.  Won't the box will be lighter because of the sun
shine?    LOL

We're fine here.  Tornadoes hit to the east and west of us, and we were
lucky to get barely 5/8" of rain with no thunder storms.  They went south
and north of us.  That usually happens.  Today is gorgeous, if one can see
through the windows coated with pine pollen.  Everybody's car is the color
of greenish yellow.  It's the one time you can tell who has a garage and who
doesn't.

My white car sits under a carport so you can imagine how yellow it is!
At least I have a carport (which I had added after I bought the house) but
most of the houses here in Montgomery just have driveways!

LOL - we had parquet floors in our house in Gainesville.  Parked our car(s)
in the drive.  During pine pollen season, you could see our yellow footprints
around the doorway!  Luckily we usually took our shoes off near the door, but
we still found ourselves dust-mopping daily during pollen seson.  Funny, I
kinda miss that, especially as I sit here looking out at snow and ice.  ;-)

Ack. Snowing here again today! This is the 43rd measurable snow fall this
year. We normally only get 23 in a season. Also one of the rare years we
will not have at least one 70f day in March. This winter began the day after
Thanksgiving (early for us) and is still going on......
