OK, so I got my MRI results back and it shows no meniscal tear!
Yay!!!

It does, however, show:

supra patellar busal fluid and displacement of the body of the medial
meniscus w/ mild medial meniscal body displacement that mildly distorts
the medial collateral ligament.

Moderate strain of the inferior patellar tendon

Posterior aspect of lateral femoral condyle demonstrates a small focus
of increased signal which is likely related to degenerative findings

heterogeneous appearance of the femoral condyle and adjacent bone marrow
of uncertain etiology that should be correlated clinically

So, this is all new to me, as my issues in the past with my other knee
has always been torn meniscus and they would scope the knee and fix it,
clean up the joint, and then the knee would be fine.

I'm not at all familiar with these types of findings except that they
seem to correlate with the area (inside of knee) that I am having the
greatest amount of pain and giving way feelings.

Any of you have any similar problems in the past and if so, how did they
treat it?  The pain has gotten to the point where even having the knee
injected doesn't really help any more!

Love to hear from any one with some input.   Am scheduled to see the RD
next week and the ortho the following week on this.

none of it souds the least bit familiar to me, but it does all sound
distinctly uncomfortable.  I'm hoping your RD or ortho can offer a solution
or two.

not sure and i'm no expert here, but it sounds like the bursa sac is overly
full of fluid and is causing/putting pressure on and distorting your knee's
supportive soft tissues.  if that's the case, it's possible they might try
drawing off some of the fluid.  again, i'm guessing.
