They are having a meeting tomorrow about taking Jim's mom off life support. The neurologist said that the brain activity is so low and so is the breathing. So they are going to stop life support. She is swelling up, the kidneys are shutting down. The neurologist said there is no way she will recover from it. She had a major stroke and it did paralysis her. So it appears she was waiting to see Jim and then 2 hrs later she couldn't breathe and had no pulse. So of course we are all a mess here. I am keeping all these emails and ng messages and putting them on a word doc. so I can print them out for Jim and the family to let them know that so many people care. They took her off all life support yesterday. Put her in a private room so that family can spend time with her. They are taking shifts of being there while some get sleep. They are giving her morphine every 4 hrs to make sure she is comfortable. She is breathing on her own. But is in a vegitive (sp) state otherwise. She held on for 3 weeks in a coma, then died less tahn 24 hours after he got there. Even then - over 30 years ago, we all were certain she'd been waiting for him to ge there.
