I have a brace (very short, closes with velcro) to wear for about two weeks,
and I do need it,  That wrist is very weak and a little sore though it
wasn't my wrist that was broken.

Kate, I have a scrip for PT so I'm going to see what I can get done about
falling.  My orthopedist said he didn't want to see me again until next
year!

Wonderful progress, Gwen!  And I hope that PT works for you as well as it has
for Kate.  You both need to take a break from all this falling.  (pun
intended)

I am working hard at balancing exercises Gwen so I don't fall - neuro physio
rehab starts tomorrow so will see if they have some more ideas for me.
Check with the pt too to see what they can help with.  I agree - at least a
year before anymore falls - preferably not at all!

Kelly, I saw my pulmonologist today  -- had to cancel the appt in January!
He is sending me to a neurologist -- said he wants to know the reason I keep
having balance problems and falling.  I told him I have a scrip for PT but
he said not to do that yet, to see the neurologist first.  He is making the
appt with one who is a good friend of my regular doc, who is an internist.

Good plan.  I know mine is related to the neurological damage 2 years ago.
has never been the same and is worse standing on my bad leg or when I am
overdo for my meds for that.  Also if I get tired (which is usually at night
when I most don't want to fall! Especially in the middle of the night).  I
know my balance is off.  In the shower if I close my eyes (you know like
when you are shampooiing your hair.  So hopefully they can explain to me why
the neuro stuff affected this and how to fix it if it can be.

Glad you are seeing the neurologist!

How did it go with the pulmonologist??

The pulmonologist decided not to change anything  now, said in 6 months will
do the breathing thing again and an xray.
He seemed more concerned about the falls.
