Every public institution (school) in California follows ADA
and the California Vehicle Code.  They allow use of disabled
placards or license plates in lieu of parking permits/stickers
in metered zones and in handicapped zones.

That's the way it should be. At Western Washington University in
Bellingham, WA you have to pay to get a disabled tag to hang in your car
and you have to put that and your state disabled placard on your rear
view window. It's really ticking me off. I should be able to park in any
disabled space on that campus without paying.

Maybe all of ASA should write to the Governor of Washington :-)))

What's even worse- the VA hospital in St. Louis, MO will not recognize State
of Missouri disabled placards!  You have to have one issued by the VA to
park in the choice disabled spots close to the entrace.  They have other
disabled spots far away from the entrance where the MO placards work.
Sheesh!
